Advice from Marathon engineering…. confirmed today.
Sure don’t want to confuse Polk City owners.
Expensive, recommended by Marathon, dimmable. compatible with techlink and S-2 or S-3 boxes….. no issues.
Mentioned today was the make up of each bulb. “FET” with these bulbs having “field effect transistors” relating to instant on-off at button press and low energy consumption.

Ok, I’m going to ask a dumbass question. Tom, when BoaterAl changed his fridge in his NonSlide H Marathon, they took it out through the salon window that actually is hinged at the top, no window removal. Why did you not just do that? Much easier. I watched and filmed Marathon change Al’s through that window.

I am not in a position to tall anyone what to do or how to handle this but I do know we have the potential to really screw ourselves up if we blow this issue out of proportion.
I know someone can start a class action lawsuit, or get the government involved, but at that point nature is going to take over and Michelin, Prevost, and we lose control. Michelin is on top of this now that we are finally getting reports of issues to them. There is no doubt in my mind Michelin is going to do the right thing.
My worst fear however is something that has the ability to cause our coaches to be taken out of service until there is an alternative to the 365 tires a lot of us have. Once this issue reaches the court system or any government entity we are going to have to deal with the consequences and have zero control over the outcome which might not be resolved for years.
To the best of our knowledge there have been no reports of a tire failure that prevented the coach from being driven to where the tires could be replaced, we have heard of no accidents or damage to a coach. In fact unless or until we learn otherwise this problem appears to be concentrated on recreational vehicles and not commercial coaches.

Hi guys,
My fuel level is over 1/4 tank and I did not check the oil level or coolant level. I planned to but something came up and I had to button up and leave. In truth I kind of kicked myself because I should have done that before trying a manual start. That was really pretty dumb, I’ve had my bus long enough to not be so stupid!
I know they are not leaking and had both changed out in October, but should have checked them for sure.
Thanks for your responses and I’ll check the oil and coolant Wednesday.

Reese, I used this plan for years. Loved it. I was forced by hardware requirements into Direct and hate it by comparison. Dish Rules!

I like the advice, John.

We who live and travel in Florida often tend to overlook one very good thing about the so-called love bugs.
The don’t bite. For this, we are grateful.

Duplicate post, sorry.

Mark,
Thinking about replacing our toad. Do you have to do anything special when towing the MKX? I don’t want to be pulling fuses or anything.
Thanks.

I did want to hear him be more enthusiastic about retrofitting though!

Guys,
I believe we have a couple 365 take offs that I’d be glad to donate and leave at Hoffman Coach so that in an emergency situation Jeff could ship it overnight to whoever was in need.
I’m not sure of the dates but they might help in a jam.
If this makes sense to anyone let me know.
Thank you,
Chris

You can check with Jeff about how bad the oil seems to be. There always seems to be a small amount, but if it gets too bad, it will screw up the cartridge so it won’t work very well to get rid of the water.
I have a small amount around my drain, but it does not seem to be getting worse, and it has been there since I got the coach. I also have no moisture in my tanks, but I change out the cartridge pretty much each year. I am willing to spend a bit to keep the air system as clean and dry as possible.
The air compressor is kind of pricey if I remember…$12000 give or take. Jeff will know for sure as he has replaced some.
Good luck…hope you don’t need the compressor replaced yet….
