We will certainly be glad to help. We need to get some feedback as soon as possible so that we can get an idea of how many sites we need to hold. We are taking a lot of reservations right now for this season. I promise you will love it.

I was travelling with a client who owned a commercial truck lube center. He had been talking to Blue Beacon about adding a wash to his center. We stopped at one somewhere off of I-75 in Georgia to check it out. We watched the employees wash about three trucks, then we got permission to go inside the building to check out the equipment.
If they use the same equipment and the same employees to wash a bus, I would pass. The employees spend their day washing commercial vehicles with utilitarian paint finishes, often at the request of someone other than the owner of the vehicles. I would be concerned that my bus would receive the same level of care. And, if the paint or finish is damaged, what are you going to do about it?
I have read several “horror stories” on motorhome forums regarding damage caused to motorhomes by Blue Beacon. While I appreciate getting a discount, I am just going to drive a dirty bus.

curb side where bus airconditioner compressor was. Engine compartment. I did that on the 89 and worked great and did not cause any overheating.

Gee Dick, we were parked next to late model Liberty (with their holding tank problem) and it certainly smelled anything but new.

It is like eating an elephant, one bite at a time. But the benefits of working your way through issues is substantial. Obviously you get to have a detailed knowledge of the coach, but the best thing that comes of that is you gain a lot of confidence not only in the coach, but in your ability to address issues if any arise.

Oh yes I remember your message now…. The Steakhouse. I have a good memory, it’s just short.

Thank you all for chiming in.
I just got off the phone with Liberty in Stuart FL.
All 12V coaches will have 4 (four) 12V coils at positions 1,2,4 and 5 and a 1 (one) 24V coil at position 3. They decided to keep the Prevost coil and 24V voltage for Road height.
So, it looks like everybdy has a 24V in 3rd position…..no coaches were done with 12V coil for Road height control.
That is why I burned the brand new 12V coil I just changed, why the old one was toast, why the coach would lose height going down the road etc.
BTW the Potter-Brumfield just above that allows the 24V to go to the 3rd coil HAS TO BE 24V as well – Model KRP-11DG-24
It is 12V on mine, gets hot and has to be changed asap…Ordered both correct ones.

Jon, you are right on as far as driver’s training goes. I owned a 154 site RV Park and it was amazing how many people (especially 5th wheel) bought their rig, had it hooked up at the dealer and drove to Florida and not only did not know how to back up, but several did not even know how to unhook. One in particular stopped by Home Depot and bought about 20 2X8 pieces of lumber and piled it up under the stiff legs because he did not know to pull the pins and let the legs extend. He stacked the lumber almost to his stiff legs, then lowered them then tried to drive off. The 5th wheel fell off the blocks and crushed the bed of his brand new pickup. Several broke out their rear windows on their pickups when they cut too far. Quite an experience. I cannot count how many people I had to back into their spots. Most were pull throughs, but the outer parimiter were all back ins. Loved the Canadians, as they all knew how to back up since almost all parks in Canada are (were at the time) back ins. I also learned very quickly that when the wife got out with a walkie-talkie, you got out of plate throwing range very quickly because the air was going to turn blue and the plates would start flying.

yeap. set to auto start. Gen auto start after battery volts = 22.6 for 30 seconds. This is my choice from inverters setup for normal ops.

I agree with what Jon said and have heard a lot of horror stories over the years… one thing that is a dead giveaway is having a toad with another state licence plate… make sure the toad is also with a Montana tag as it raises a red flag and I have heard they are trying to get permission to impound any rig that is illegally tagged…. that is a lot more than I could handle… makes the tax look cheap all of a sudden !!
Cheers, Diane

I, too, as a service mgr in the 70’s, was taught to keep radials in the same direction when rotated. Mine were, but I don’t believe it to be true anymore as I’ve switched direction on my Hoosier race radials on my BMW many times without incident.
I also believe at this point that, while I would rather blow out a tag than a steer for control reasons, the twisting motion to which the tag is subjected may be more damaging than steering.
After hearing of the 365 rotation failure, I’ve pretty much decided (at the moment!) the problem may be rotation as opposed to overloading or simply that the tag tires are the most seriously abused tires on the coach. Therefore, unless you need load capability, which I don’t, I’m now leaning toward installing 2 new 315’s on the tag leaving me with a 365/455/315 setup and no longer rotating.

Very interesting information here.
I have been actually trying to understand some details around the batteries, inverters, generator and autostart (oh and auto-stop if in-fact I have that).
Have been fighting a storage facility locally that advertised “power”. Was a simple 20amp plug with GFCI. The 20amp hasn’t been an issue till I decided to move the coach to this new facility since it was covered. Plugged in and the coach with the battery charges (three total) and refer on would trip the GFCI plug. Talked with the owner and he claimed the power was set to provide only power for battery charging. Well even with just the three chargers on, it would trip the GFCI. Had to go to the storage facility on a daily basis to swap chargers around. Left after my month was up and went back to the previous facility that had good power without cover (can run all three chargers, accessory compressor, refer, water heater and a couple other small items with no problem on 20amp).
While I was dealing with the bad power, I was thinking about setting the auto start generator, but didn’t understand if it would auto-stop and what the params were for both.
So how does one figure out what the params are? And how can you change them?
This would also be helpful when dry camping, which I do a couple three times a year while at race tracks. I know this last month I would set the autostart on in the morning when I left the coach, leaving the compressor and refer running. When I would get back 12 hours later the generator wasn’t on yet. This was nice, but still kept me foggy on when it would kick in and if it would shut off? I don’t want to leave the coach unattended for a long period of time if the generator wont shut off on it’s own. That and I didn’t want to discharge the batteries completely to test the system as they are brand new batteries.
Oh and finally, how do I “read” the power panel to understand what the draw is, where my inverters/batteries are, etc..
Here is a picture of my panel (it’s plugged into the bad 20amp power at the storage facilty)

My Ms. tags are less than $75 a year and first Lic 8 years ago was about $80. Now that is low!!!
