Buy one that has some miles on it, one that’s not used could cost lots to get up to snuff or top shape if it’s used things will be in better shape . I am at Prevost now and can say its true so be sure it’s great shape ,top notch shape don’t get horney about it just take your time, one that’s used and not cared for is the shits ,one that’s used and cared for is the best. Hope this helps!!!! ????????

The new mach 5 does have a problem with sticking shaft seals when left unused for a time. There is a small (1-2″ diameter) cover on one end which can be unscrewed with a straight short screwdriver. The screwdriver can then be used to reach in and turn the shaft. This often then allows the pump to function.

I’ve had to do this to mine a few times but only when it’s been left off.
Go to prevostcar.com under tech pub wiring
diagrams. use last letter in your serial number and last 4 numbers
example mine is w-6553 w= year and 6553 is unit number wire #’s are
pretty well universal year to year.
I have tried this and cannot find any combination that will return a result. Many of the responses say I need to enter a valid 3 or 3 digit number even though I enter J-1415. If not that, it says I don’t have a correct combo. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong. It’s an 88 Country Coach 40′ XL Chassis has a late 87 build date.

Thanks Tom, Yes I could absolutely have the Gen or Inverters setup up wrong. I bought this bus a few months ago and still trying to make friends with it. On my Gen menu it has OFF AUTO ON EQ ….. I have it set on “ON” and on my Inverter menu it has OFF SRCH ON CHG …… I also have it set on “ON”. Is that where it should be set if trying to run off the Gen set ?

Thanks,

Mark

Great thread on bus barns from those that own one or plan on building their own individual bus barn. I would appreciate some input from the bus owners that rent. If your renting how far away is your bus stored? What do you pay for indoor storage? What do you like most where you store your bus and what do you like the least. What amenities would you like within your unit and on the property?
