Why wouldn’t you identify yourself? Do you expect people to just contact you without knowing who you are. Jon or Tom this might be a scam

If the reason for a blown fuse is not obvious I usually replace it with one rated for 5 times the current.

Then I watch to see where the fire starts.

I’M KIDDING GUYS. DO NOT DO THAT.

A friend of ours has the perfect answer for medical personnel pushing opioids after surgery. “I am sorry, I must decline. I am allergic to opioids. I break out in handcuffs.”

You say “engine air compressor” , Are we talking about the bus engine spit valve ? If so they do have a fail rate.

I considered that for a bit before removing the blowers, but I don’t think it’s feasible in my case. My blowers were in pretty bad shape, and I don’t think the existing ducts would be of much use without them. I think you’d need really high velocity to make use of the narrow branches between those main side ducts and the window vents.

My OTR was all contained in the first bay, and my second bay is pass-through storage with some minimal systems on the aft wall. So I effectively have the first two bays open now to run vents, and could route some insulated ducting a little aft. I could probably even reach the driver with a little creativity. The first bay driver’s side door is completely ventilated, so that’s a natural spot for a mini-split outdoor unit. It’s also right about where all of the electrical runs converge, so I could make good use of space if I do something extensive.

I really learned a lot about my bus by removing the OTR system. I had always thought that the two rectangular “bump outs” where the floor meets the side walls were full of a lot of chassis wiring and pipes. It turns out that they are basically just empty ducts. When I removed my dinette to install vinyl plank flooring I saw a lot of 120v cable runs on top of that rectangular box. At the time, I guess I thought I was looking at the stuff inside the box. It turns out that Liberty built a sort of “false top” over the duct to create additional space for their conversion. I never realized there was a small cavity above the larger cavity there. Pretty slick.

Just a dumb question but pumps you had replaced are they 12 volt,if so did they possibly have a wire and connect it to fuel sender by accident. This started after working in that area .

So, the thick plottens! The fuel gauge was only getting 12V. The tech made a jumper and got 24V to the gauge working. Where did the 24V go? Country Coach also has a systems monitor which is now reporting low chassis battery voltage (I had these obnoxious voices turned off). So whatever senses 24V is also only seeing 12V. Anyone have any additional thoughts as to what might have been affected to cause a couple of my 24V circuits to revert to 12V?

The Vanner is putting out the correct voltage and the engine is getting the proper voltage. There is this thing in the picture. What does it do?

Correct Tom. Ive been over thinking again. I can wire both (12v & 24v) of grounds through the shunt to monitor all current flow. The voltage doesnt matter on the ground.I didnt realize that the voltage is monitored with a separate positive wire. Im a moron. Thanks for the replies fellas.

Open up the unit and take the heat shield off and test for power at the transformer, if your getting power there it should be that try to take it off and see if you can call a local electric store they might have a similar one that you can replace it with to get it going

This was a fairly common issue on 7.3 Ford diesel pickup trucks. It is caused by harmonic vibrations created by the engine. It may be the engine in this case had a miss or weak cylinder which set up some unusual vibrations causing the failure. It would be interesting to know if the part number has been superseded. If so they may have identified an issue.

The three day exemption will work for us. We used to take our time and spend money in CA but now we make it through CA in a couple of days. We already do not buy fuel in CA. Of course, it is only a matter of time till OR follows.
