David, no real choices. You can try Snake River, but usually booked. That leaves Fireside Resorts at 150/nite. Geo.

A lot of us have been following this because those who contemplating buying are wondering if this problem could have been foreseen. Those of us who own our coaches are wondering what could have triggered the issue.
From anecdotal evidence and reports from fleet operators of Series 60 EGR engines we know the #6 cylinder suffers from the EGR with excessive sooting and wear. We also know coolant systems that have not been maintained will cause cylinder liner damage. But nothing suggest an engine of your mileage is at the end of life. That is why any info you can gather is helpful.

Isn’t busing always an adventure? Back on the road and only about 6 hours behind schedule. Lots of help from the great folks here. Folks called that lived local to where we were in NJ, and from as far away as Wyoming, to offer advice. I really appreciate all of you. Also got some great help from Rick at P.A.S.S. In the end, just ended up limping to a shop that found that a diaphragm had gone bad in a brake chamber. Oddly enough, it was the right brake chamber. Apparently, the brake lines cross so the chambers actually work for the opposite side. I never knew that. A couple of hours, $340, and back on the road! Thanks again for all who called and offered assistance.

I know the intent is to maintain a certain appearance. A lot of RV resorts have spent serious money to create a spectacular facility with beautiful landscaping. And they charge dearly for that elegance. Which makes a concern over the year of the coach kind of unimportant. The cost of a night’s stay in a campground defines who is going to stay there. The old skoolie painted with a roller that uses old Burger King booths and chairs for the dinette is not likely going to be there because the owner is struggling to afford his bus. He is not going to spend the equivalent of a tank of fuel for a night in an RV park because it has nice flowers.
But if he does choose to stay there I cannot see how anyone is harmed by that, how it adversely affects the amenities, or how it is going to change the Woodall’s rating.

Reese…
Let us know more details… hard to quite understand exactly what you mean? Are the current steps not the originals or are they worn out? XL or H???
Give a bit more info and you’ll get more replies.
Hope you’re doing well.
Cheers, Diane

Tom:
Don’t tell Jon that I made this video, but here is a link to the secret handshake to get you in the gate.

So, as I understand it Jon, you have finished the 50 Ford and now want to modify “Benny” for your next Toad???

I really take exception to being asked to provide a photo of my bus. Can you explain to me how a clerk can determine you have an acceptable motorhome from a picture ?
Bella Terra step on their own rule as no Prevost has ever been refused. Thus not question any Prevost, you think ?
Based on their message back to you Tom, there seems to be no justification for the Prevost falling into the 15 year BS rule.
I will make a motion here on PC.
If you’ve been asked to send Bella Terra a photo of your Prevost at this time offer all a free night for the embarassment they caused to PC member.

I have replaced the bearings in both pulleys. Got them from Prevost. They are listed in the on line parts manual.

The Girard awnings are generally pretty reliable. The air/electric Zip Dee awnings tend to be problematic, and require a fair amount of maintence. The Zip Dee New Century awnings ( a cantalevered design like the Girards) are also reliable, but the early versions had trouble with water intrusion into the motors causing many early failures.

Do you remember what was involved in the upgrade?
It seems I could just move the engine oil fill access cover to the left access cover and get a new cover with the bolt hole for the tensioner plus the automatic tensioner. The old idler pulleys and bracket could stay. Is that what you did?
