Recommendations for short stay in Salt Lake
If my coach is fixed, I am planning to be in the Salt Lake area in early September. Any suggestions on where to stay. I don’t have to be right in the city. Any suggestions appreciated.

Go to the PC map, you’ll find another.

Cabella’s RV parking lot, to the south.
Wallmart parking lot, near Hill AFB, Layton,UT to the north.
Never did find a good RV park.
If your retired military, check Hill AFB.

We like the KOA on north Temple. Ask for one of the premium sites. Great location! Be sure to go to the red iguana down the street for great Mexican food.

We stayed at Pony Express. Nice park, but unless they have changed the location of the sewer connections, you will need extra long hoses to reach. They told us that they were going to relocate them to eliminate the issue. We did not have enough and had to bum a hose from them to make it work.

We have stayed at Willard Bay State Park 50 miles north of SLC. Very quiet and not crowded with low fees.
Full services including 50A, water and sewer for around $250 or so. -
It is near the large fresh water reservoir adjacent to the Great Salt Lake(no view of either from the campground).
