TAG1, Please forego the use of caps only in your posts. I would guess that like us, most people skip reading them because of it.

Mr. Tag1: Make sure you put heavy duct tape on all your tools and all the terminal ends (positive and negative). If you short an unprotected tool across a postive terminal and any metal on the bus they will weld immediately. There are a huge number of amps in the battery pack. You’ll also need some light rope to hold the battery cables so you can get the old ones out and the new ones in.

Check out a post I made about changing batteries:

Also … NO jewelry, no belt buckles, no watch, no rings.

Good luck and keep us posted.

PS: Adding information about your coach to your signature helps the rest of us give you better advice.

    David,

I have never seen a Vantare with a separate Gen battery. Gen starts off the 12v portion of your house batteries, and has a jump-start from the 12v of the Prevost Chassis batteries.

Jeff changed out my batteries at the seminar. Lifelines from Tom. Great batteries, and service from Tom and Jeff. The old set of Lifelines had over 8 years on them ( I was unaware of their true age until ordered from Tom) and showed no signs of failing. Lifelines are the way to go.
