I did, was hoping I could get away without saying, turns out the filter on the fill line was completely clogged. The site we rented in nc had not been used in quite a while ( privately owned) and we surmise that the line was pretty dirty . The take away was to run the fresh water for a little while before hooking to coach

Jerry,
They still have the Sterling All Terrain on their web site. It has an aluminum body. They recommend dry silcone spray be periodically applied. After 12 years of use, it’s resonable to expect some expendable parts to need replacement. I use Roadmaster tow bar and mounting plates and like what they make.

Like you said Gil, they’re different. My Liberty will not allow AC to the fridge circuit without the inverter on.
I guess we should define “storage.” My take is the bus would be in a storage facility parked while not in use, but not mothballed and ready to go with fridge on and all systems alive except the water heater and fresh water pump.
If I had one in long term remote storage, I would kill everything except the chargers.

The prevost side: not really… Factory support is the best you will ever find!!!!!! Would not be concerned about that. Converter side? Once you break systems down to indivual functions. They are pretty simple to understand.. They are very simular from converter to converter. Some of the older conversions have systems that have components that are no longer repairable or available to be replaced(new parts available). You just have to modernize those systems when they fail.. Lots of companies failed in the great RV melt down 2008 and suppliers went under so some technology that was there changed or parts dissapeared…Still happening! Ask Questions and spend time with the coach your looking at..Make sure everything works. Not for minutes–For more than a day if it were my $$$$. No I will fix it later promise.. good luck!! Just my opinion..

I am going to post this on the rallies topic also because it applies to our fuel discount program and our upcoming Branson rally.
The success of both our rally and the fuel program is directly related to how many of you participate. The greater the participation, the more successful each will be.
So to encourage those on the fence regarding our Branson rally were are going to sweeten the pot a little.
We will pay the Prevost Community Fuel Discount Program application fee for all who attend the Branson rally. The anticipated fee our fuel program administrator will charge is $25 and we will pay it if you attend the Branson rally We want to fill all the rally sites we have reserved for the rally. After Aug. 31st we have to release those reserved sites back to KOA and after that if you choose to attend the rally it will only be on the basis of site availability and the price of sites will go up to the normal KOA pricing so sign up now.
Spread the word. This is going to be a great rally and you have two incentives to sign up now.

Andre just submitted an article that is the pertinent poop for the inverters. It is listed on the home page for now. Thanks Andre.

Mango will have to wait for the 2016 Smart SUV. Truk, I will let you know if we can squeez away from the office about heading up to Jdub’s site for Pizza. About what time will this happen? that sounds like lots of fun. Remember, about me and cheese-free pizza, I know it sounds bad, but enough toppings, its great.

OK, the 221 degree I saw on the digital readout seemed high to me. It did come back down, but I was cruising, not going up hills or anything.
I have OTR air, so no way to check by turning dash air on I guess.
Gill, is there a way to check the fan with OTR air?
I have had no lights to come on or anything saying to hot. I do have a retarder.
Also, the engine guage you mention, I do not seem to have one in my engine bay, unless It’s hidden somewhere.

Jerry, we used to live where sub zero temps were possible and we needed all the heat we could get onto the windshield. Even then we had to drive with blankets across out knees since the cold air spilling from the windshield was keeping us cold. So with that mindset you can understand why getting maximum defrosting was important.
But now that I am a Damn Yankee and almost all my driving is in the humid south east I know what a PITA it is to have to use the wipers on a humid day because of condensation on the outside of the windows.
I suspect the only solution is to craft some type of cap or damper that you can drop over the defroster vents but only if it redirects more air to the other vents. If it doesn’t send more air to the other vents then it appears your only option is to create an extension to the defroster vents to reaim the air flow back towards the front seats, but making sure it is capable of either being removed or redirected when you need defrosting.
I have been lucky because all of my coaches had good airflow directed pretty much how I wanted it. I don’t envy what you are going through because unless the solution is easier than I imagine it is going to be difficult or ugly or both.

There are varying degrees of owner perfomed maintenance on our coaches. Some folks (me included) do all our own maintenance and repairs, others do some, some do none themselves. It all depends on your particular situation. Over the years I have found almost all the work on our coaches to be generally very easy once I know the steps others have taken. Sometimes there are little tricks that may not be obvious.
If you add the model year, type coach and converter to the signature line then that specific information will be available for folks that respond to all your posts.
