FUEL DISCOUNT PROGRAM SNEAK PEEK
As you are all aware when Tom and I created Prevost Community in late 2011 we told you that as owners we wanted to create a web site and membership that encompassed all Prevost enthusiasts including motor home conversions, entertainer motor coach conversions and home built conversions. We also wanted to be open to all Prevost groups, social or otherwise so as a large group with the emphasis on the Prevost coach we could get back to the times in the past when collectively our large numbers as a group could provide great benefits to owners.
Let there be no mistake. You folks have come to Prevost Community in large numbers and our site activity stats prove it. It is your collective memberships that enable Tom and I to continually put together programs not possible with a single social group or area of interest. Collectively however we can do some great things. The NAPA fleet card program was our first success. In a short while we will make a formal announcement of a fuel discount program that we have been able to put together solely for members of Prevost Community.
You all know of an existing RV program through Good Sam and Pilot. A lot of us have used that program. What we will be announcing is a similar program but significantly more beneficial.
We will be able to offer to all registered members of Prevost Community a two part fuel program that will offer a 10 cent discount over the marquee cash price on a national chain you all know and love. In addition the second part of the program offers a 5 cent discount at selected locations. At any other location that is not specified through the program for Prevost Community Members will receive the cash price at the pump instead of the credit price.
Tom and I will continue to work on behalf of all Prevost owners and enthusiasts and become even more effective as our numbers and participants continue to grow. Thanks to you and your membership and support we all are seeing the benefits of strength in numbers.

We have a lot of ground work to do to implement this program which will be a Prevost Community program. Right now we are working on the needed changes and additions to the site for program registration.
If you are a member of any of the Prevost social groups such as POG or the Prouds or Bikers spread the word. We are open to all as a supplement to membership in any social group. The only requirement we now know is to participate in the program is to be a Prevost Community registered member. We are considering some criteria to limit program participation to owners of Prevost coaches or their equivalent, and excluding conventional RVs but none of those details have been worked out. As soon as we have all the details we will be contacting all the groups to encourage them to communicate the availability of the program to their members.
As we progress with the program implementation Tom or I will be posting the complete details on the fuel discount program, including location listings. We are excited because like all of you we are owners and we created this site so our collective numbers can yield benefits smaller groups cannot offer.

I think I just got booted off POG. I posted about this program to help pog members but without warning I am blocked from pog and the post about fuel discounts is gone.
If you are a pog member how about posting about the discount. it is a huge savings but jamie must hate pc so much he would rather deprive his memberfs of the savings rather than allow his members to take advantage.
This sight rocks.
BTW, message to jamie and all pog members. the sight isn’t so secure since I got on another way to see the post was deleted.

Have no fear Harvey. Most of the few remaining POG members are on here as well so Jamie is only hurting those few who are new and haven’t found their way here. Thanks for the effort however. Sorry about getting booted off.

has been doing all the heavy lifting for this fuel program, while I’m
out running around the country and looking for the cheapest fuel
price. 10 cents a gallon off the cash price is a BIG DEAL and 5 cents
off the cash price is nothing to sneeze at. This program is going to
save PC members significant fuel money that will add up over time,
especially if you’re putting on lots of miles each year, not to
mention ease of use and time saving.We
don’t have all the details yet worked out, but I assume members with
this card will be able to pull up to the pump, swipe the card, fuel
and haul ass. Presently, we pull up to the pump, go inside and
surrender your credit card, go back out and fuel, pull forward, go
back inside while doing the fuel/oil foot dance trying to avoid
stepping in all the gunk and then getting out of Dodge. I have pump
start at Flying J/Pilot, so that eliminates one step, but being able
to pump and go will be priceless. I like trucks, been in that
business in one form or another all my working days, but the
necessity to visit the truckstops with the bus is at the bottom of my
wish list. Anyway I can limit my time and exposure at the truckstop
the better.Harvey

as a bad experience and spend your time over here. There is no
censorship here as long as you’re being nice and you can’t beat the
price!

I as well as all the others thank you guys for all you are doing. I too have a fuel card and its nice to be able to pay at the pump and drive off, if you don’t need the receipt.
On a second note, Jon, I notice in the picture in another post of a slack adjuster, I’m confused, if this is one of yours why is it not POLISHED?

Buddy, for fear of alienating those less anal than me I opted to use a photo of an unpolished slack adjuster. You have no idea of how stressful it is now because I have a brake caliper that internally adjusts so there are no more slack adjusters to polish. But I did paint them.
The unpainted parts are also painted now. Which reminds me, I am due to wax those parts again.

I think he has finally snapped folks, polished slack adjuster in one thing, but painted calipers!
