I just had my Blue Ox refurbished at the Blue Ox factory in Pender. Great experience for me. They really went beyond the call of duty to help me with some problems on my tow bar. They absolutely refused to let me pay for my nights in their RV Park even though I insisted on paying for the extra nights I stayed.

We are staying in Pender another night. The tech was covered up today with tow bars to work on. On top of that, mine had some special problems they had to deal with.

Because of that they did not get finished and get me cashed out until about 3:00 PM. We would have been 4:00 leaving so we decided to leave tomorrow.

They really took care of my tow bar here at the Blue Ox factory. They believe in customer service enough to actually put it into practice.

My tow bar is too old to be as good as new but it is as close as it has been in a long time. Plus it has a bunch of new parts! The cost? $25 + tax.

Great service + Great attitude + Great price = A Great Deal.

I have always liked the Blue Ox towing system and now I have even more reason to like them. I have been a loyal customer but they have cemented that loyalty with great service.

That is a rarity in today’s world.

Great advice!

I just had a personal experience just 3 weeks ago with my Roadmaster Tow Bar. It had started getting real hard to release and retract the shafts to hook or unhook the Jeep. The stainless shafts would not slide back and forth freely. I tried lubricating with Silicone, that didn’t work, tried WD-40 (even though Roadmaster said not to), and I still had trouble. Could not hardly (with a rubber hammer) knock them in and out.

Anyway, unhooking with everything in a bind was tough, and somehow, the towbar fell on top of my foot! Wow what a pain, broke a bone in my foot.

SO, I took the tow bar apart, and found that some fiber wafer type washers/wipers had expanded and were siezing up against the aluminum housing, because water and dirt had gotten in there over the 12 years that I have had it. Nothing was bent though as everyone was suggesting. They do not make the aluminum ones any longer, I can see why.

Annway, bought a new one, and I promise, this one will get extra loving care, like the rest of the bus does!

They still have the Sterling All Terrain on their web site. It has an aluminum body. They recommend dry silcone spray be periodically applied. After 12 years of use, it’s resonable to expect some expendable parts to need replacement. I use Roadmaster tow bar and mounting plates and like what they make.
