Chuck & Barb, so sorry to learn you won’t be able to attend the rally….we were looking forward to seeing you!

Hoping that the family matters can be easily resolved.

The headlight is from a 89-91 Ford F-150 and can be purchased from Prevost or Ford. The one from Prevost is $104, I know, I just had them send me one. Be aware, the black plastic clips that hold the adjusting screws are different than the factory setting from Prevost, so you have to change them out to make them work. If you want to get the correct black plastic clips, order from JC Whitney but be prepared to pay through the teeth at $221 each. The turn signal light is from Grote and I could find them available anymore anywhere, even Prevost, so, I went to O’Reillys and purchased a lens polishing kit and reshined mine. Shine like new but still have the cracks, thought much more difficlut to find them now that the lens is shiny.

I traveled today and had no leak in the aquahot with the valves turned off but I did have a small leak in the bus heat bay. After I shut the bus down I noticed that the condensation from the bus air was a little green.

This short orange hose is on a copper pipe on the top of the radiator type thing.

It had a slow drip. It may have been faster when the bus was running but like I said I did not see it until the bus was turned off.

I tightened the clamp down pretty tight. I was surprised it was as loose as it was. I have not used a clamp exactly like that before (The big shoulder under the screw) but I assume it should be about as tight as you can get it. I will travel about 2 hours tomorrow and see if it leaks. If it does I can close those valves too until I can get it repaired.

    Any advice?

I have a tool to pull down the clips if you want to try that, you know we are only 3 blocks away.

Michael, really appreciate the offer. Looks like they could fit. I’ll take a picture of our setup next time I’m at the bus

    Thanks again, Gerald

    Liam.

If you have 2 that means the house and chassis have their own dedicated charging system for their respective battery banks. You don’t even have to look at your engine to know. Look at the gauges for each system, and if one is not showing the correct charging voltage and the other is, then one of the alternators or regulators likely needs attention.

Before deciding to replace the 50DN if that is in fact what appears bad, check to make sure the regulator is not bad. Also the 50DN as installed by Prevost had a recurring issue with a broken field wire connection at the alternator. I don’t know if it was vibration or some other cause but on two occasions with my 87 coach I had to replace the field wire terminal because it fatigued and literally broke in half.

Do not use any type of power bolt driver, no matter what!

Use only hand tools and be aware of the correct “feel” of the threads.

If you strip the threads there is a repair kit from Allison, but I think it is in the $14000 range. The kit entails a special jig and helicoil inserts.

Thanks Rodger. I like the look of this new one, but all that solid black walnut cabinetry and panelling in the Country Coach sure was special. They really knew what they were doing when they built those. I hope you are still loving yours!

Just wanted to chime in and say if you can get ahold of Brandon at Legacy coach he would be perfect to help you with your choice. I’ve been dealing with him for the last month getting my new to me, Royale ready. Brandon is professional and knowledgable. The most important thing to me is integrity and character in how Brandon handles his sales……he is a true professional and willing to do whatever it takes to make his customers happy. I’m looking forward to meeting him in Nashville during the POG rally where he will be delivering my coach.

Can’t say enough about how well this transaction is going for me.

Brandon is a great suggestion, has excellent expertise and will do a great job. If you want someone to take a look before you lay out money for a pro I am not too far away and could see it this weekend.

Thank you for your welcome and reply.

Could you take a look at the advertised X3 2 Slides which seems to be a build out as motorhome with 2 bunks on the internet? I’m not sure if I can post a link to the other side here? She looks to me like a motorhome and not so much an enterainer coach. But then again from distance it is very difficult to judge based on some glossy pictures.

    Thank you,

    Liz

    Tom,

I’m pretty sure I could still turn the fan by hand. It was more difficult to move in high. I can try it again tomorrow if you’d like.

I’m new to this adventure myself and envy that trip you are about to embark on. The guys and gals on this site will give you the best info anywhere and the price is outstanding. Everyone is great to help with the issues which come up for all of us owning these wonderful machines. You have obviously read enough already to realize what an asset Jon is to us owners and there are many more folks involved here with the expertise newbies like you and I need. Don Wolf is also a great asset to know. He and his crew did a major interior remodel on the coach we purchased. He has been involved in every part of converting coaches for many years and I regard his work highly. Jon’s advice is great ( always is) to define what your use will be. Now something I actually know. You can have OTR and roof air. My CC has both and although Liberty OTR is the undisputed champion my CC version which is much smaller has been freezing the spouse out all summer here in Texas. Enjoy the process. For me it looks like a never ending learning curve and completely fun and rewarding, the disasters are even adventures. Welcome aboard!
