Are the Cruise-Airs set up for staggered starts? Our 99 Liberty with SMX controls is set up so the C/A’s don’t start at the same time.

Confused by post as when I talked to Marathon they told me they could not discuss my Powertech generator. The guy said he could be fired if he discussed any problems with me.

Post references repairing a marathon head.

Marathon says a brushless is better than a brush generator.

There is reference on the brush generator site that they are more stable than brushless.

When I was questioning the powertech rep trouble shooting my problem he said water or dust could be cause of shorting my generator.

I run generators all the time on a construction site in rain dust and adverse conditions. This unit is conditioned in environment friendly conditions and it dies.

Any experts with accurate info on generators.

    Considering replacing with Marathon generator.

Ok if not dog bone bushings, shock mount rubber bushings. Everyone of our six different busses over the years crunched squeaked. Cold weayher made it worse

What I did/do is google “????? state representatives”, go to each of their websites, and there is a link to message them your concerns. I even got a reply from an aide once.

I’m probably on a FBI watch list now.

As I think more about it, my inexperienced mind thinks the leaking exhaust port on the ride height valve is NOT related to my occasional leans as my bus had been lean-free for more than a week with both primary and secondary tanks holding full. My accessory tank does drain completely after about 24 or so hours. ****After visually inspecting all ports on the two old Norgren valves, no foreign debris, corrosion, etc was visible.

    Dick,

You do realize when an A/C fails or performs poorly there is more to it than just adding R-22 don’t you?

Are you getting a vacuum pump, scale, leak detector, thermometers for checking supply and return temps, gauges, and R-22?

I had that happen to my Royale, It was the start capacitor for the fan that was bad.

You may have a breaker on the gen panel for the squirrel cage fan.

“Les, if you have a power outage at home I hope your bus is stored with the generator exhaust connected to a hose that discharges outside of your garage.”

    As a matter of fact… I do.

My flexible commercial rated exhaust hose exits outside. We designed the garage with “ports” near both ends, so drive in or back in they are in line with the generator exhaust.

We also have a transfer switch for the separate vital house loads electrical panel so that I can provide power from the bus buddy plug. I used it a week or so ago when we had an outage for 3 hours after a storm.

try compressing bag by hand then put pipe plug in top of bag before releasing pressure= partially collapsed bag. remove plug when in position bag grows in place.

    1. You want the axle hanging from the shocks to give you the most clearance to remove and install bags although I had to raise my drive axle for installation of the new bags because they weren’t stretched. I would be cautious about putting max air pressure in with axle hanging. Can you put jackstands under axle when you inflate?
