    Gil,

If the relay is the same, you have one that turns on the brake lights everytime you use the jake brake. I forget the number, I always remove them, but that might work out as a spare for now. It’s also in the rear run box.

    Hi Karl,

I have some extras I’m willing to send your way. Email me your address: dmb993@earthlink.net. They’re yours for what I paid $2.50 per latch. David

I believe Hector to be correct about the variables. The aux air is holding the 3 port valve open to retain air pressure in the three rear air bags. When the pressure drops below a value needed to hold against the valve spool return spring that particular valve exhausts tag air. The variable is the amount of pressure to hold against the spring might be different from side to side because of internal valve friction and the amount of force the spring exerts. In a perfect world both rear three port valves would shift internally at the same pressure.

Check the inverter in question next time it codes as to whether the fan inside the inverter is working? Compare it to the other inverter if you have more than one as to whether it’s fan is on. Both must be working under the same load. I have the same inverters and one is kick off and I have noticed it’s fan is not working.

WW, Grainger is a good place to start. Or any refrigeration supply house. I would want to verify it was bad as opposed to there being another problem.

    Hi Rick,

Wow, you don’t really give us much to go on here. You say the speedo was showing 5 mph…..were you going 5 mph? If so, your problem is solved!

You also say the speedo was replaced 17,000 miles ago. I presume the original one was with a mechanical odometer biuilt in. Was the replacement the same? I ask because those older speedo/tach with mechanical odo were not very reliable and most coaches from the early nineties have had to replace them.

I installed one of these, and got the matching tach so the printing font matched up nicely.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/VDO-437-152-Vision-3-3-8-Speedometer-/310396815687?hash=item4845178947&item=310396815687&pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&vxp=mtr

I also adjusted the new odometer to read the correct coach totla mileage. Hope this helps.

Glad all is well, at least last night… Just run for the storm shelter, the bus is on it’s own.

I had never been to a campground before that had a storm shelter. OKC has some serious weather.

Gary’s post has to rank high as a significant piece of information.

Our coaches as typically set up have a number of things that can turn a pleasant trip into a not so pleasant trip if they fail. If an inverter fails and we cannot get electric to vital items like the refrigerator or water pump, that comes to mind as an example of one of those things. Having an engine that will not start is another example. So is a ruined tire and no replacements available. Some are an inconvenience, some are crippling.

A slide malfunction that will not allow the coach to move ranks high as one of the things that can spoil a trip.

With the significant number of coaches with slides, and the various different slide manufacturers as well as various iterations of slides from the manufacturers we are all potential victims of a problem. Gary’s post has inspired me to try to learn more about my slide version and what switches and devices have the potential to make the slide system fail, and how I can overcome that problem.

    Picture?

I have three sources for almost every mechanical device on my coach. WW Grainger, a Google search, or Prevost.

Absolutely, hook up your whoopie to our highway hostel. Work on some bling because from the post above I see the King of Bling has signed up. He will outshine us all because he has all the chrome in the world on his coach.

I still have to express concern about sheep however because JDUB now calls OKC home, making it easy for him and Mango to bring a herd of grass guzzlers to graze in Truk’s living room. Stick close and I will help you navigate around the cast of characters this rally is sure to attract. Whatever you do try not to take anything too serious.
