  • McMaster – Carr – Parts

Posted by Archived on August 2, 2012 at 8:48 am

If you have not ever used McMaster – Carr for parts, you may want to give them a try. Tuesday I ordered parts and was told they would ship same day and deliver next day. So I’m in the garage that afternoon performing my daily Prevost duties when up pulls a delivery van about 3:00 pm and drops off my parts! Wow, ordered in the morning and a courier delivers 5 hours later, now that is service. They are based in Atlanta, but I’m way out in the boonies and don’t know how they do it for 6.00 shipping charge, but I’m sold.

    Check them out: McMaster-Carr

McMaster is a great source, I have used them to supply parts for my business as well. They are very prompt and reasonably priced.

another good source is MSC (Manhattan Supply Co.) a huge source of parts and tools, overnight delivery is standard and prices are reasonable.

If you want 50 or more parts of something, try D. R. Roberts. I just bought 50 Southco Grab Latches at a price of $2.50 per latch. McMaster-Carr wanted $5.25 per latch. McMaster-Carr is great though!

Jamestown Dist sell grab latches pretty cheap too. I find a lot interior parts in marine supply catalogs.

If those are the 5 pound pulls, I wouldn’t mind taking 10 or so off of your hands, Travelite.

    Hi Karl,

I have some extras I’m willing to send your way. Email me your address: dmb993@earthlink.net. They’re yours for what I paid $2.50 per latch. David
