  • 3 Amigo’s OKC Gathering

Posted by Archived on April 2, 2012 at 10:53 am

The 3 Amigo’s, Jdub, Mango Mike and yours truly are trying to determine if there is sufficient interest in a 3 day bus gathering at Twin Fountains in OK City from September 27th to the 29th. This is a great time of year in OK and would be big fun for a few days. Nothing structured, just meet greet and eat.

More to follow if there is enough interest…

We’ll be on our way to a POG rally, but it looks like we can stop. We still are awaiting the official POG LV rally anouncement, but it looks doable.

We would like to do both, being in between Vegas and OKC distance-wise,we can’t. Vegas is closer to us than OKC, and we want to see A-1 and Lady Di’s new ride.

Well I wanted to do it in April of next year at the height of tornado season to see who all had huevos and who were eunuchs but the Krakman being nad-less made me consider the fall and see if we could seine up some of the folks headed to Las Vegas for the POG rally.

And maybe catch a few that we’re not going to be able to get out there.

Sounds like a great bash. Makes me wish I were driving though OKC!

We’re working hard to get the POG rally setup, and hope to see everyone out in Vegas.

For those that are into trucks, Granvil’s “B” model Mack on his Avatar is perfectly restored and looks like it came from the factory fresh.

Of course, I knew you wanted to sign up for the work! We’ll need a tender for Jdub’s Mega Ice Cream machine he and his dad hand built.

Well as usual, Ed and Sandy will be tagging along behind Dan & Jo. We sure do enjoy seeing all our friends. Please count us in to laugh and have some fun with our bunch. Have to start looking for my gambling card for the casino there and the horse racing.

We decided we will not be going to the rally in LV, but for sure we are going to this one in OKC. This one looks like it might be one we won’t want to miss with old friends showing up. And you old ones know who you are.

OKC is going to be a real good time and you don’t want to miss it. It’s also a good jumping off point for folks going in other directions that time of year. We’re heading to Branson, MO from OKC to hang out with the old folks… Oops, that could be us now!

The OKC get together is for anyone wanting to attend and we hope to see some new faces from members here at PC.

OKC and Tulsa are old stomping grounds for the wife and I being from OK and having relocated to Springifeld MO 25 years ago, so it sounds like fun. We would be one of the “new faces” you would be talking about. OKC that time of year will likely be very nice temps with lows in the upper 40’s low 50’s and high in the upper 60’s low 70’s. The other neat thing from our standpoint, if I get my rear in gear this summer, it is possible that our coach conversion from OTR tour bus to motorhome could be either completed or nearly so after 7 years of work. OKC is just 5 hours down the road and would make a good shake down maiden voyage for us. Count us in but put a “maybe” by our name, just in case life throws us a curve ball.

On another note, if someone can tell me how to do it or where to find instructions how to do it, I would like to post a pic of our coach to the avatar.
