The sales/promotions that are sent in your emails are they different than what is listed on the Prevost website?

I agree with you Chuck, going to the brake first is almost an automatic isn’t it? My hope is if the time ever comes that I need it. I’ll remember the videos I’ve watched and the many conversations we’ve had on the forum. I think I’ll remember!

We bought the Roadmaster Nighthawk when we got the pickup. This is the third Roadmaster Sterling towbar we have owned. I wanted the increased tow capacity and the removable tow hooks. The truck tracks perfectly with no wander.

Excellent! DIY success is always good news!

Jon, actually the grass is nice and green. But then I put down a couple hundred pounds of Bermuda grass seed this spring, so that helped out. Now i get to do some fall weed and feeding and then start looking at some winter rye to keep it green all winter 🙂
Tom, sure, I’ll take some good Wisconsin aged extra sharp cheddar if you have any.
Robert, thanks, i like to think so. Getting back mid September is always nice as I get half the park to myself, my dog and my music. Unfortunately seems some people from up north didn’t like how cold it’s getting early this year and are coming back early. But hey, what can you do when you live in a van down by the river.

That’s a lot of stuff Jon and next week I’ll get the answers. I fully appreciate your caution and thank you for it. Having a low air light come on is not a good thing!

If you do the necessary pre-purchase inspections, set aside money to bring all maintenance events current and get any needed training on the operation of the coach and its systems, it looks like it is going to work well for you.
Keep in mind that commercial vehicles which this will obviously become as soon as you put the wrap on it might require you to treat it and yourself or your driver as “commercial” meaning compliance with laws regarding operating and driving the vehicle. Some states are especially strict in enforcing the laws and in some cases have forced vehicles to be parked until the vehicle or driver met the requirements for commercial operation.

In the OCTOBER Motorhome magazine it had a story about replacing foggy windows
It featured REDLANDS TRUCK AND RV 888249 0124. http://WWW.REDLANDSTRUCKSERVICE.COM AND RELIABLE GLASS 909. 557 4898. BOTH IN CALIF. AND HOW THEY DO IT OVER. FOR ABOUT 19 YEARS AND THEIR RESULTS.
GOOD LUCK.

How long would it take to install all 6 shocks on the rear of a XL11?
Do you have to remove the wheels to do the install when using jacks and jack stands?
Does anyone have the Prevost yellow shocks that come with the bushings?

Is there a way to respond to a post in a thread to continue a discussion with a particular person who posted a reply to a post I have made or someone else as made?
There’s not a “quote” feature on this site.

I had Sachs put on mine from Prevost, no problem with supply.

Well, not to leave no stone unturned, I stirred the pot some. You see, Transwest has a 2006 XLII Country Coach for sale. An ‘06! So I called sales dept, Brad Nerhus. I ask if we or another Colorado resident specifically buy this coach where would we, they get it serviced
Brads response was, here at Transwest. I followed up by saying, service dept said they would not work on anything older than 2009.
Needless to say this raised eyebrows, and Brad would get back to me.
He said they wanted Prevost repair business. So I gave it about two hours, and called service back. The gentleman answering the phone, once again said, no they wouldn’t work on our Vogue XL45. I retorted that he needed to speak to GM or Brad in sales.
Well, Brian in service called me back explaining with numerous plastic coach builders gone, they wouldn’t work on them because of scarce or non-existent parts. I said I understood that, but we had a Prevost, regardless of subtitle like “Featherlite, it’s a Prevost. He then clarified this blanket rejection of older motor homes has been clarified to exclude busses. So, we have an appt on 9-10 for front end inspection.

Per, you are confusing the issue. Detroit sets 2100 as a limit as was shown in the link above. But because they know some folks aren’t going to pay attention they set all kinds of limits and using sensors protect driver’s who ignore them by taking control away from them. At 2500 RPM you no longer have a choice of gear. If you drive with low coolant, high engine temps or low oil pressure the engine just shuts off. If you use the retarder excessively and transmission fluid reaches 300 degrees the retarder is disabled. None of the limits if reached are acceptable for continued driving. If you ignore the 2100 RPM limit and let the downhill push the engine RPMs up then at 2500 the transmission upshifts because like everything else Detroit is protecting the engine from a driver who is not.
Pick a gear, any gear and hold your foot flat to the floor and let me know just how many RPM’s you can reach. If 2500 is OK and you cannot get close holding your foot to the floor see if you can convince a Detroit dealer to reprogram the DDEC to limit RPMs to 2500. After all Detroit says its OK.
Are there any truck company owners on here that wouldn’t fire a driver who allows his Detroit powered truck to routinely exceed 2100?
