Is there a way to respond to a post in a thread to continue a discussion with a particular person who posted a reply to a post I have made or someone else as made?

You can respond to a thread by posting on the reply button, but if you want just a private conversation between you and another person you will have to email them because we have no provision for private messages.

If a person allows emails from site members move the cursor over the user name and if it changes color you can right click and copy their email address. If a person chooses to not allow access to their email address we will not reveal it to anyone without their permission so you need to ask Tom or I to forward an email from you to that person, or for us to ask that person to email you since you wish to contact him.

We do this to protect our members’ privacy.

There is a Table option in the editor (which is HTML-based). It takes a fair amount of manual formatting (copy/paste the text to quote, the author, add a border… it’s up to you how far you want to take it). There is no quote button like UBB forums.

There’s not a “quote” feature on this site.

A quote feature would be nice. Most other forums I’m on have this feature, and it’s nice.
