Pics of my radiator when I pulled it out and now.

I flushed it again since getting it back from the radiator shop with CLR pro.

    Don:

If I read your post correctly, the trans lines were ordered/purchased from Prevost, so no big hoops to jump through there.

I assume the gal or two of oil loss didn’t require special air purging. Would guess it cleared itself.

Asking because those lines being replaced are on my bucket list.

    Driers would be great!

FYI….any drier MUST be bi-directional in flow (bi-flow).

Liberty Coach in Stuart, Florida uses DANFOSS Part # 023z1402 as seen in the photograph.

I had so much promise for my self this weekend and ended in a pile of smoke.

    1. Tag lift air chambers installed, the factory ones are type 36 but the replacment unit doesn have the 2″ bump in them and wont fit the bracket. I installed a type 30 and will see if it works.

    2. Need one more front air chamber

    3. New air lines from prevost have different ends then the ones that came off the bus, so I need to go get bushings.

    4. I have a bad bearing in one of my engine pullies so that had to be pulled off and i have the wrong engine belt.

Needless to say I have more tracking down parts.

Can you explain how superheat indicates correct charge level? I thought these had expansion valve which controls superheat if yhave minimum amount but not affected by overcharge.

Jeff in powertech service is the person that helped me with a temp sensor for my 20K. He has been with Powertech for quite a while. He was very knowledgeable.

I like the sketch, i do this too, it helps me get my mind around how things work. There are many posts on this site on how to wire a battery bank, the artist rendition you show is incorrect and will overcharge and overdraw the battery that you show with all the terminations. See picture attached.

Strange, I just did mine and I only had space for 3 on my 99 Liberty.

Take this opportunity to service both AUX and awning compressors if you haven’t already. I wired a switch in for the awning compressor that goes to the front of the entertainment center. This way you can shut off the compressor when you are not using the awning. Otherwise, it will just run and run if there is a leak. You could remove the connection at the fuse panel as a stop gap. Also took this opportunity to remove the air push lock connections for the awning and AUX at the compressors.

It amazes me how lazy some service centers are, don’t get me started. If you want things done right, do it yourself, or use a trusted converter service center.

While recommendations from others is a good way to evaluate a lot of things I would be concerned about buying insurance based on one or two recommendations. That is not to say the people providing the recommendation are not giving good advice, but that advice needs to be evaluated based on a number of factors.

First, and most important, each state has its own insurance laws, and therefore levels of coverage and service are going to vary from state to state, and the same applies to premiums.

The driving records and claims history of those offering advice also have a large impact on premiums and available coverage. And again each state impacts how previous claims are going to affect renewals, or premiums.

Few insurers have a complete understanding of insuring a bus. Some will write coverage thinking a Prevost conversion is just another Class A motor home. Few will comprehend the complexity of the house systems or the repair costs associated with a commercial bus chassis. Unlike a motor home that scrapes the full length baggage doors requiring new plastic skins, the same damage on the Prevost bay doors can easily equal the replacement value of an entire older Class A.

Just make sure the insurer understands the product. It is easy to get a warm toasty feeling when a well know auto and home insurer is willing to cover the coach for a very inexpensive premium, but that feeling goes away when you have to arm wrestle with the insurer to pay all the costs of repairs.

Never ever lie to the insurer because in the event of a claim that exceeds what the insurance company expected to pay, that lie will be the insurance company’s escape clause.

I’ve got my 3 cars, stick house and Coach (2012 King Aire) covered by Progressive.

No experience with auto or coach claims. I do have a homeowners claim in flight, I can follow up in a few weeks how that goes.
