  • Cruisair replacement

Posted by Chuck & Katrina on February 2, 2023 at 7:41 pm

Here the first pictures of the new Cruisair replacement that will be previewed at Prevost Expo. It will have a 3 phase compressor and use a frequency drive to convert single phase to 3 phase. This allows for a soft start meaning less power draw. The company is a marine air conditioning company that’s been around for over 60 years. They will also offer new evaporators and controls/control boards if needed or wanted. Unit is designed to be a drop in direct replacement for the Cruisair units. They can also supply flexible hoses too.

Does that mean you can swap out the condenser in the lower bays and still leave the other part in the bus?

yeayeaatou – appears yes… one of the narrative photos above mentions flushing out the existing oil (R-22 Mineral Oil) from within the evaporator and line-set prior to installing a new condenser

Have brochure for new Aqua-Air replacement for Cruisair to upload but it is in PDF format that site does not accept for upload. How do I overcome this obstacle?

There was a lot if positive interest in the Cruisair replacements by Aqua-Air at the Prevost Expo from both the attendees and the vendors. Looks like Aqua-Air is going to proceed forward with the project, should know more by next week. Thanks for all the inquiries, excited to see a solution for our aging dinosaurs especially since AAp has gone.
