Mobile Prevost mechanic ? – I have a NO START !
Not a good way to depart on a wedding anniversary.
Started the engine, waited for the belts to tighten, set High Idle, rewound the shore cord, turn off High Idle, about to put it into gear and it started running very rough shaking the frame for about 5 seconds and died.
Checked the fuel filter, bowel is full and tinted (no water).
Started it with the rear switch and it cranked for at least five rotations but it started.
It ran very rough, lots of white unburned fuel exhaust and stopped in five seconds.
Now it just cranks, no combustion at all.
It is in my driveway and I cannot see towing it to the Prevost centre 2 hours away.
I need a mobile mechanic who knows (series 60) Prevost, the mechanics I used for my previous Safari do not know Prevost and I do not want to pay them to learn on mine.
Does anyone know of such a person or establishment near Maple Ridge, British Columbia, (~ 1 hour East of Vancouver)?
Otherwise I will have to pay Prevost for their mobile service.
1995 H3-40 OTR
Thanks in advance.
Tom
UPDATE: 20230424 turns out to be the fuel pump, some Cdn$500.00 later plus on-site mechanic from JDR Machinery to change it, haven’t got that invoice yet.
