From what I have seen the air dryer is not high on most owner’s list of things to maintain, but the one that really ends up biting owners in the butt is the one installed by the converter that supposedly traps moisture from the aux compressor before it enters the accessory tank. Failure to provide dry air to the pneumatic system gets very expensive.

Found a 13lb. cap at NAPA that holds 12.5 lbs. I looks like a quality built cap. That should be OK…..
Thank you

Hey mike do you go to Quartzite show regularly? It’s been a couple of years but we use to go with the Lemon group that is a group from the Foretravel Forum, Kenny and Ann Lemon started it. At one time there was 60 Foretravels there, It was nice putting a face to the people on the Forum. Do you go with a Prevost group? Last time we went 4 years ago we had the Bus, The weather there is awesome.

This is a good question for Prevost PASS:
https://prevostcar.com/contact/pass-247365-assistance
PASS offers 24/7 availability 365 days a year. Just call 1-800-463-7738.
Everytime I’ve used it, I’ve been connected to a smart, knowledgeable tech. One even driving home from work.

I would NOT expect new tires to cause the thunk or thud you heard.
I’m putting my money on something being loose. An artifact of the recent service.
Keep us posted!

I guess even if it’s not off the ground in tight turns it’s still better dragging tag tire with little pressure then full pressure. Do they make 40 ft H3’s buses? I only know XL coaches

Amazing how many people that don’t own anything diesel don’t realize they are still paying the high diesel cost as the article notes, Farming, transportation, & manufacturing (to a degree) all use diesel and pass the cost on to the consumer.

Sounds like you did it right But! The only thing I do different from you is, before I fire the Detroit I plug the block heater in for 4 hours, When it fires it all ready at around 100 degrees on my ScanGauge. One of my truck friends told me that one of the hardest thing on a diesel engine is cold starts, So I make it a habit to do that.

Is there a bung in the differential case for the diff temp probe?
“Had to stick my finger in to break up the clump of powdered iron blocking the drain.” OH MY!!!! OH MY!!!

As a full timer, if it weren’t for Blue Beacon the coach could rarely get washed. We do usually hire a private service for wash and wax twice a year (pricey!) but otherwise we have had great success with BB. Yes, I usually have to follow behind and wipe down some spots and missed details but overall I am very happy with their work.

I am in ohio. I will need to winterize.

It would have been interesting to check your blood pressure while you were watching your coach being cleaned.

Not to be a smart ass, but finding anyone to do anything (especially correctly) is becoming almost impossible. Maybe in FL where there are large numbers of RVs there may be someone, but Knoxville seems to lack people or companies willing to work.
