add long range tank. Mine are 245 gal. I have put 220 in them. Don’t fuel very often as my trips are usually under 1700 miles. Let new owner of your coach do the worry part. By a airplane.. Wait it out… Sit in recliner and watch the world go by.. Buy a boat….In the 1980’s prime intrest rate jumped to 21% gas went from 39cents a gallon to $1.05..Me I had a boat and camper dealership. Also a construction co. with allot of accounts recievable. Would you pay 25% intrest for a boat–rv–or home morgage? Plus floor plan? Point being That was over 40 yrs ago and I still alive. Sorry about spelling My head is not in it this evening. Ted posted in Georgia they have relaxed state tax on diesel..fuel there if you pass thru..In my area there are wells capped(non -production) still productive (could be waiting for price to go up? The oil patch is not doing new wells. When I came out of service in 1969 a good wage was 1.85 per hr.When I retired 13 yrs ago I was over $50hr —gas 1969 28Cents a gallon now $4 compare the 2. I worry about things I can control, like bringing peace to the middle east.

I cannot control fuel prices so I either accept what they are and keep using the bus, or I use the bus less, or I sell the bus. As a percentage of the cost of bus ownership fuel is a relatively minor expense so in the long run it is just not worth worrying about.

In terms of costs we have depreciation, insurance which goes up and down like a yo-yo, and repairs that are large and unforeseen. When the cost of owning the bus becomes a worry it is time to sell it.

I Love my bus, Whether out on the open Road, Camping, or sitting next to my house. I feel truly blessed to have a Prevost.

I keep my bus at my home. I can see it from the recliner in my den. I go out back every day to look and touch. Only one trip within the last year. So thankful that I can own a Prevost, even if it gets little use. The view of it wonderful. You will need to own a Prevost in order to relate to these comments. Darrell

We will finish up a 1900 mile trip here in a couple of days and will have used approx. 275 gallons. If I am paying $2/gallon more this year than last that’s only $550 more. Yes, I could use that money for something else but I could not replace the enjoyment of being able to get back in touch with family and the time we enjoyed together. There’s no promise of tomorrow to any of us so I will enjoy our Prevost for as long as possible.

If you own a Prevost and with up keep, Fuel would be the least of your problems.

I like the point Bill made. Cost of fuel versus the enjoyment of the travel, the destination, and the memories made. Beside that, who does not enjoy driving their Prevost? I feel so fortunate for being able to take this wonderful machine anywhere.

Prices have gone up across the board, so if you would sell the bus and turn to flying, car rentals, hotels, and eating out your still paying big $$$$. I prefer to sleep in my own bed and not live out of a suitcase while traveling and spending big $$$$.

I will not sell my bus or quit anything that they are trying to make more painful by design. If i do, my vision fades away and theirs becomes reality.
