inside door handle mechanism issue
Part 283851 shown below. prevost shows no stock. the spring is broken. Even if I drilled out the assembly rivets, I doubt I could match up the spring. Any leads on the manufacturer or other vehicles that use this?

ch out ford truck inside door handle from 80’s thru mid 90’s. I’ll ck tomorrow if I have one in treasure chest(pile of door parts) Will post if I do. Bob

with your suggestion I just started looking at ebay door handle control and found 1968 -72 gm. they are close. whats interesting is Prevost shows the part with splines like the gm part but mine has a square interface. also somebody welded on a piece for the slot- you can see that in the picture.
Looked at Ford trucks on LMC and ebay but did not yet find close match.

could not find box of door parts today. Will continue to look. prevost took alot of other mfg parts and modified to their use. with only slight changes. My opinion only.
