Joel, seals should last forever. Over 32 years I replaced 6 and never had one replaced fail. My attitude was if it wasn’t leaking I wasn’t touching it. Seals I have replaced for others were doomed from the start because whoever installed them damaged the outer shell, which in turn put a slight pinch so the outer seal and inner seal would not freely rotate with respect to one another. They are fussy and installation has to prevent any pinching between the inner and outer seal and when the hub is installed on the axle spindle it has to be perfectly aligned both side to side or up and down or it can damage the seals. You may create more differential heat than others, but the seals should be designed to resist that heat.
Half of my leaks were on the drive axle but I do not know why the disproportionate failures would occur there.
Two of my coaches were at around 250,000 miles when sold and currently I am heading to 180,000 on my coach and I do not expect to see any failures.

That does it, Newell is history in my thoughts. Dick you made the right points. Thanks to all for your inputs. I am in Arizona for the Winter and when I get back I will get together with you and we can have lunch and you can truly educate me thanks again. Michael

Do what works for you Michael, I went to the dark side 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. This is a great group where you’re welcome no matter what you drive, unlike another unnamed group. Jon even still talks to me.

My Dad was a Prevost guy and he always said Prevost with all the stainless steel they are forever. His friends had buses and his best friend Bill had a Eagle bus and when you slammed the front door rust fell out, Not stainless! You get what you pay for.

I recently discovered that my new beloved LED headlights never even get warm. So, while driving through a snow storm heading to Co. Springs last fall the headlights were completely covered with snow and no longer putting out any light at all. Not sure what to do in the future but replacing these LED’s for something else is not an option.

R134. Charged with nitrogen at the present. Or was when I picked up.

Thank you for the nice welcome. Several years back my wife and I decided to attend a drag race. We thought we knew what to expect, but that was grossly under estimated. They captured us hook, line and sinker.
Key element – the people. Both participants and patrons are “down to earth”.Yes, the task of finding a coach will be enjoyable. Our preference is flexible. The unit will open a new door to our lives – who couldn’t be happy with that.
Thanks for your message,

Interesting input, a mixed bag of yes and no just like I was seeing on the trucker web sites.
I did see a discussion on on of the trucker web sites noting NOT to put Lucas in the early (late 90s to early 2000s) 60S unless they had the upgraded/up sized oil hoses added to accommodate the thicker oil. Anyone else heard or seen anything about Lucas reducing oil flow due to its thicker viscosity? A web site also noted not to use Lucas if you have hydraulic lifters because the thicker viscosity degrades the hydraulic lifters ability to work. 60s don’t have hydraulic lifters do they?

Based solely on that quote it is not necessary to say they are alleged crooks. Remove the word alleged in future conversations regarding windshield replacement.
