  • What is strange raised floor box in closet

Posted by gary on October 26, 2021 at 1:14 pm

I’m looking at a 2001 marathon Prevost H32 slides one in the salon one in the bedroom as you enter the rear bedroom there is a closet immediately to your right approximately 3 feet wide and 3 feet deep. When I open the closet to the immediate right when I enter the bedroom there appears some type of raised floor/box and I was wondering what is below that raised floor. On the other side of the wall of the closet is the shower and you pass the shower on your right and you now enter the bedroom this closet is also inside the slide out. Your advice is greatly appreciated

    thanks Dr Gary

The closet is in the slide. The slide rides or passes over the floor hence its raised. What the Marathon Coach number

Doc, I’m just guessing, but I think this web site has a question limit. Beyond which your dues get doubled.

Take it easy folks. I’m trying to make a joke.

There are some questions we as owners can answer (and will happily do that)…..other questions like will this fit here or will that fit there are really out of our realm. Most of us on this (and other forums) are not doing wholesale updating or build-out of a coach. Honestly, we’re paying others to handle the details. Those are best left to a converter or someone with the experience of building coaches for a living.

Honestly, I scratched my head the other day after reading the original question. I opened my bedroom closet (the one in my slide) and saw the space at the bottom of that closet. It had a cover on it with 4 screws. I laughed and wondered why you wouldn’t just unscrew the 4 screws and see what’s there!!!?????

Then again, I laugh when I read (on other forums) questions about where the best salvage yard for RV’s is. I don’t know, nor do I care, but it seems to keep coming up. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

    Dr Gary

Call Marathon on monday, tell them you own Coach 677EXV ( which mean Excalibur 45) (you dont to tell them that) and ask for someone who can tell you build specifics about your coach

Harry is missing. Put out a APB. Ole Harry kept saying He was coming to see me in Texas but couldn’t keep His XL running long enough to get down here.
