I have had both sides replaced on my XL at different times and neither mirror was moved or adjusted in any way.. I did not do the work but I watched it.

I’m a non slide guy, but could the level low be preventing the slides from retracting?

One thing interesting with Randy’s Volta System is it’s a complete plug and play package. You have the battery pac, inverter/chargers, converter for 12v and alternator. The inverters are 3800’s and have the auto-start. Everything is 48 volt input with 12 and 24 out.
They made no modifications to the bus electrical system.

Back in March 2009 we had an attorney look into our situation in Pa and given the laws in place at the time he recommended that we error on the side of caution and pay the tax.
We are conservative by nature and didn’t want to do something that could cause us grief and or penalties later so we paid the sales tax on the coach.
That’s just our experience things could have changed in 5 or 6 years.
It’ll be interesting to get some up to date legal information.
Thank you
Chris

It’s always easy when someone else is doing the work…

Exactly what Les said.
If you have been reading the forum for a while you will have seen that even new chassis batteries can fail, and what might seem like good voltage as a result of reading with the meter (no load) can drop to almost nothing when a load such as starting is applied.
You don’t provide much info on the converter, but some conversions have provision for charging batteries or connecting house batteries to chassis batteries for emergency starts. If you provide that info some advice can be converter specific.

Haven’t used ramps yet. I raise bus to max height with air suspension, place jack stands and release air from suspension. This allows me adequate access room and its easy to raise wheels with a floor jack as they are no longer supporting bus. I can then check for foreign objects in tires and looseness, etc. Incidentally, just had alignment and all tie rods replaced @ 190K.

Yes, I’m aware of the clearance light button on the end of the turning signal stalk. But, I was wondering how noticeable they would be as they are so high up (on sunny daytime driving).
