I’m with you guys, it looks like the truck started the fire. I didn’t notice it the first time I ran the video, but it sure looks like the truck!

I was just using the front axle as an example, soliciting more examples. I realize some of them may not be very important. However, 2 slides and a private toilet are hard requirements and limit my options in older models.
To me, the new ones with the roof mounted awnings, new end caps and interior look much sexier. Remember, I am selling my stick house in 5 years to buy my new “home” and while it has to be mechanically sound, it’s look is a huge factor. The last thing I want to have happen is to be stuck with the older model, that’s why I never considered going this route before.

Understand your pain with listing on eBay or another website.
You would not believe some of the conversations I had with folks while trying to sell my coach.
I think some times a license should be required to get on the web and an IQ test be given before the right to vote.

Ron, I don’t think you would be happy with a 110 dryer… they are worthless..your clothes will never get dry..and because it’s so slow to dry everything wads and wrinkles badly….Bosch is the best in my opinion.
Cheers, Diane

If the problem was the Vanner Monitor it would turn on the balance light.

The step cover moves freely, it just is always out. We have pushed it in and wedged it closed (mostly). Are you talking about the Aux Jun-Air compressor? I have air showing on the dash “A” gauge.
Yes, the A gauge is the air for suspension and air-power things in the coach (step slide, slide seals, driver’s seat, etc. It is supplied by the engine when running and Jun-Air when stopped.
Is the compartment under my feet accessible from the left side?
Just open the side door under the drivers side window. In my bus the air valve and rgulator are pretty deep in the compartment and toward the front.
i have two additional Royale questions: 1. Does the Aux Jun-Air run anything?
Book only says it to inflate things.
See above
2. What is this oil can supposed to be used to oil? See photo.
Jun-Air is an oil-filled compressor. You should use the oil can to top off the compressor and keep oil level in the sight glass. Use the right oil. Also, the Jun-Air does require some maintenance to keep water and oil out of your system. Reach out to Royale Phoenix for supplies and info.

With a lot of smoke on acceleration it does sound like turbo-related failure. The hot exhaust side of the turbo is blanketed, so should be able to withstand the heat. To create a fire like that the turbo oil supply line would have to spray oil all over. Maybe we all should put a fire sleeve on the turbo oil supply line like they do on plane fuel lines in the engine compartment.

Happy birthday Harry! Today is mine as well and our anniversary too boot! Going from our Beaver Bus model year, 1992 to current Bus, model 1999, 2000 Marathon we really don’t feel much difference between beam andor independent front turning radius/wheel cut. As you turn, pivot point in bus rear us between drive tire and tag tire. Lifting the tag gives a bit better turning for two reasons. One it slightly changes your geometry. Second, lifting weight off tag whether it comes off the ground surface or not takes weight off of tag so your pivot point changes to drive tire. Difference between Beam Axle vs IFS at least on a 40 footer is negligent. As above stated earlier, practice makes for more experience. Rules we follow when backing.
Don’t, but if you must
a spotter is helpful
Never guess. If you need to get out to see where your backside is get out
Once you’ve made contact with a fixed object, get out and assess what you do next to minimize damage

Sorry Andre, I should have been more clear. The Cruiseair intake air on my Marathon is pulled from the bottom of the coach for the Galley and Bedroom and the Salon and Aux from behind the bumper similar to yours, but no shutters.

I don’t think this or some other subjects should always try to showcase one’s sense of humor that seems to be more rampant on this forum these days. This wasn’t a funny situation and the old grouch in me thinks a bit more compassion would be a better gesture.

I have 5 Lifeline 8d AGMS. So thats bout 1200+ a/hr.
I find when dry camping after a total of 9hr charge in 2 sessions,
3hr in morning around 0600 if the auto start didnt already start, and
heat of day time for 6hr when we run A/C’s and shut down by 2000hr.I find that in the parks you have to adhere to quiet times, but I would expect to operate the basics in my basic Royale coach in the winter when the Aquahot runs on and off, atleast a 8-10 hr inverter run.
So I think that turning up the 270a/12v DN50 to a healthier voltage might help, why cant I get 130a to the house bank?
p.s. I seem to burn about 1+ g/hr under 3 a/c load and charger on.
