A favorite subject … Washers and Dryers
Given that we will embark next month on our 24 months trip around the USA and wanting to preserve as much time as possible for fun stuff, we have decided to replace our current combi, vented washer/dryer, Splendide 7100XC, with a stacked washer and dryer.
Having looked at some new Prevost at a show, recently, it seems that Bosch is the prefered brand.
But, looking online, there are various models. 300/500/800 series. Of course, I was not smart enough to look for the model when it was right in front of me … 🙁
Does anyone have Bosch and what model?
EDIT: Researching this, I found that Bosch dryers are condensation style, ventless dryers.
That’s a no-no. We want VENTED, which we have with the Splendide.
EDIT 2: It seems that most dryers run on 240V, which complicates matters a little bit. I just found a Splendide Aristron 120 volts vented dryer.
This could be a solution because then we could keep our current machine and use it for washing only.
If anybody cares to comment and or make suggestions, please do so.

We have the stacked Bosch Ascenta units. With the dryer, I sometime have to run a cycle a little longer depending on what the item is (heavier cotton towels).
We have a vent for the dryer that we turn on a separate fan for it. If our dryer is not vented, it might be to reduce the heat in the dryer area.

The Bosch unit in my current Liberty does indeed vent. I goes out the bottom and exits under the engine compartment on the curb side. There is an air operated gate type valve that closes off the vent when you either shut off the breaker for the washer/dryer or when shore/gen power is cut. I know it works as you can smell it if you are outside.

Ron, I don’t think you would be happy with a 110 dryer… they are worthless..your clothes will never get dry..and because it’s so slow to dry everything wads and wrinkles badly….Bosch is the best in my opinion.
