Gauges
This maybe a question for the Marathon guys, maybe not . on the top row the top far right gauge is a temp gauge for something .. its never worked ,,, also on the bottom row the far right gauge is a air pressure and its also never worked …
when i mean far right that’s the view sitting in the drivers chair .
i am going to guess the Temp gauge is for the engine oil temp .. it does move everyone once and awhile when the Jake is working .. i checked the connections and everything seems good . just want to be sure before i order a new sensor.
now for the air pressure gauge on the bottom far right .. i am going to assume its for the Aux air tank .. i have not found a sensor anywhere for this ? so any ideas would be welcomed .

I had a 97 Marathon and don’t remember, but the temp gauge may be for the rear end. As to the air gauge, maybe aux, but mine also had a Howard Steer and maybe an air gauge for adjustment. I’m guessing here….

AHHH i do have howard steer ! haven’t used it ! or turn it on ! my luck i would turn it on and end up in the ditch! ….. hmmm!

I believe the oil temerature gauge is the transmission temp. Does it track the engine coolant gauge temps to an extent?

The temp gauge never has worked or the one air gauge ….
the temp suggestions are , eng oil temp, trans oil temp, rear end temp.
the suggestions for the air gauge. Aux air , howard steer.
we are about to take off ( Nov 27) full time for a few years just trying to fix everything and get her in tip top shape before we leave .

I find it very disappointing that Prevost (or the converter?) didn’t clearly label the gauges for what they are for.

If you already have two air pressure gauges the the third one is brake application pressure, if you press on the brake pedal the needle should rise according to how much brake you apply. On my bus with the Prevost gauges the temperature gauge with the small gear or cog symbol is transmission temperature

thanks for the input ! i will look at the trans and see if i can locate the temp sensor ! does any know where to look for a sensor or connector for brake pressure being applied ?

On my 1996 Marathon the lower right air gauge is for the Howard Steer

I did verify today the bottom right air gauge is for the howard steer ,,,

Busnut, on my 99 Marathon that temp gauge is for the transmission, I also use a scan gauge and its within about 5 degrees of what the gauge that you are asking about reads. My Manual also says its the trans temp gauge.
