Another vendor is EX-caliber in Sanford, FL. who does build the headlight change / upgrade and includes wire change. Don’t know if he sells the wire kit seperatly.
Usually the vendor selling the less costly headlight upgrade includes a note to pull the day time run light {DTRL} relay.
FWIW….
Did the headlight upgrade on both Prevost”s I’ve owned getting the kits from EX-Calibur keeping the DTRL feature.
Without the wiring change you can have daytime run lights, simply by turning on your headlights switch. Of course all your other exterior bus lights are on.

Thanks Victor!
The memories are already beginning on our adventure home!
I did want to tell the PC that our wonderful 2000 Featherlite Vantare Non-Slide will be for sale at Legacy Coach as soon as we get home. She is a good bus, no squeaks, smooth ride, well cared for. It was a great first bus!
Thanks

So now the bad guys surfing the net landing on this site now know where the safes live in these high end motorhomes

Don’t have a Marathon but our upgrade was worth every cent we paid for it & I would do it again in a heartbeat.
It is 10 times more responsive than the ugly old clunker boxes that I was sooo frustrated wth all the time…. difference in daylight and dark.
Also has many more features than the old boxes had and you can customize the features you want too… or at least I was able to with Jeff’s tech guru.. who was a Jeff’s place !!
I highly recommend the upgrade !!
Edited: as I forgot to mention it was done at Jeff’s shop in Vonore,TN …. the guru he used is brilliant and will work with you to customize certain features…. he did an awesome job for us !!
Cheers, Diane

I agree on the H having more room, nd tha tis what we have been looking at. I really like the XLII body lines though. As for no slides, that aint gonna happen..lol We have been in four slides so long that getting momma to go to two is gonna be a job. Going to zero is non-existant…lol and you know what they say about momma. we actually like our plastic coach pretty good even though I have always wanted a Prevost. I know it’ard sell to convince “bus” owners that plastic high end coaches are pretty good….LOL
We are just looking, and I am dreaming. Maybe someday, but you have to start looking sometime. There is actually one on the big auction site, ller is the rudest guy I ever tried to talk to. My appologies if it is anyone on here or if you know him. But he sent me an email and flat out said he didn’t have time to answer questions or go through the “meticulous records”..LOL

I can certainly understand your relulctance. The first time we came home with the trailer on a coach we had the 40′ rented Prevost and the 24′ trailer. I parked at a commercial building down the road, unhooked the Prevost, and retrieved the trailer with the Suburban. When we came home with the 45′ Prevost and the 24′ trailer the first time, Cathie wanted me to do the same thing. About a half mile from the house I explained to her that I wasn’t prepared for all the fooling around parking temporaily, unhooking, move the coach to its parking place, bringing the Suburban out, hooking up, manuvering the trailer to drop the race car, and then parking the trailer. I told her, “We’re going to back the trailer into the driveway with the coach.”
And we did it.
My advice to anyone who is going to try the same thing, (1) make sure you have a spotter (radio or walkie-talkie helps) helping you and (2) make sure you clearly understand the geometry between the turning and pivot points of the coach and the trailer. Understand what happens to the trailer when the front end of the coach moves in one direction or another. Whereever the trailer needs to go, you must anticipate that movement with the coach. Finally, make sure the spotter understands the concept of jackknifing the trailer against the coach and can clearing understand (and communicate to you) when “trailer is getting ahead of the coach” and the “coach is ahead of the trailer” … simplies communication.
If you’re uncomfortable backing the coach with a trailer in close confines, find a big parking lot to practice in. Get the feel for how the trailer reacts to the coach’s movement. Set up some cones say 12′ feet apart and back the trailer in between them from different angle. I presume backing with the trailer (and actually without) where the driver’s side of the coach is on the “inside of the corner”. Makes it very easy for me see where I am on the inside which is where the most danger of hitting something is.
The longer the trailer is from the ball to the center of the trailer axle(s), the easier it is to back up … to a point. Short trailers are hard to back up (the trailer has a tendency to get “ahead” of the coach, longer trailers react slower.
If you’re buying a trailer to pull with your coach, make sure you get one with a 60″ tongue; otherwise the corner of the trailer and the corner of the coach could collide.

Drove down 17 from Morehead City, NC to Hilton Head yesterday, ALL roads open and good including through downtown Charleston.

I thought you might know about these lights??
Also what kind of glue did you tell us to buy for the Carbon Fiber panels in the bays?
Thanks… Diane

I am really glad you had a good experience at American Fleet and based on all that we have heard they are a great shop. Royale if you are close enough to make it to American Fleet it likely would be a good idea to do so. It appears all others have mis-diagnosed your problem and taken your money.

We will be there on Saturday. I did not know about this, but was going to contact Dazzling Detailing anyway. I have always wondered if there was a kickback of some sort to the resort owners…..
I just printed a site map and it says “no vehicle washing” right on the map. I missed it the first time I looked at their web site.

Jon…

JD, could it be a relay of some sort clicking? Maybe a pump or motor trying to activate. Best is to try to isolate the area it’s coming from, that might help with suggestions. Is it coming from the steering bay, under the front bumper, etc.

They forgot to turn off the front tv too…I told Jeff.

Can I do all those things if I get a Liberty or a Marathon and getd rid of that SOB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom I really am intrested in the gaskets. Let me know how they do.
I have been thinking of trying to find a company that can make what we need because there are a lot of coaches out there with those lights on them.
The uglest part of mine are the foam gaskets, they are starting to dry rot and don’t look good.
