Hwy’s open
Does anyone know the current status of I 95 and Hwy 17 through S C since the flood. I’m leaving Myrtle Beach for Florida tomorrow morning.

Drove down 17 from Morehead City, NC to Hilton Head yesterday, ALL roads open and good including through downtown Charleston.

The local news down here said that 95 was still closed in SC. Check it out. Good luck and be safe.

I just drove I95 from Florida to VA. Friday I95 was still closed between I26 and I20. I very long and slow detour. Lots of traffic, mutiple wrecks, long slow backups. Heard on radio that section of I95 may be closed for a while. Radio said some of the bridge fondations have been damaged.
Plan a lot of extra time for the detour.

SAw the SC on TV two nights telling residents that flooding in some areas (don’t know which) will have flooding for two more weeks. Then next night NWS predicted more rain for SC.

I just drove I-95 South all the way to Florida today where I-26 and I-95 intersect. No problems at all with little traffic and no detours.

Thanks for all the info. Will take Hwy 17 through Charleston to I 95.

Hope you did fine going South. We just drove North on 17 from Hilton Head, NC to Morehead City, NC and roads were just perfect.
