Hey Alex,

I got the spacers from my local ACE Hardware (3/16) and got the cord sealant from Amazon a 13ft roll link. The roll sealant was 3/8 to make sure I got a good seal when I pressed the windows together to the spacers (6). I used silka to seal the window back in place.

they now have in-duct cassets(sp) that you can put in present ducts.The mini split pressure levels are much higher than your stock or cruise air system.-prohibits using existing evaporators or freon lines. If you have roof tops at present they have a ceiling caset(evaporator).. Hope this makes sense? The inverter type have higher seer ratio and also require less power to operate. I have not been on for awhile. Have you made much progress? As you know I built 4 and learned /screwed up allot over the process..From your first post make sure to get foam insulation over all those steel ribs. They act just like a toaster in a bus. A thermo gun will surprise you up to 40 f between ribs and factory insulation..Will try to pass on my many fails and why. Bob

I would say at minimum change fuel filter as diesel fuel can grow algae if it sits for a while. Unless you added fuel treatment before it was parked.

Fuel filters are on my list in next few weeks for this reason.

Prevost recommends at least annually or based on mileage but at least annually. Don will be along and recommend testing so I suppose it’s an either/or scenario.

I have taken it easy the last few weeks, was a tad burned out of working on the bus.

I did adjust my brakes, I found out one slack adjuster that wont work right and I will need to replace it. The other 5 slacks are working great. I also confirmed my tag axle will lift, it would not work previously.

I am re energized to get back to work on the bus in a push to have it done by the end of the month.

chassi was built in 1999. My 98 is W-6553..X is next year. If you look up build record for your chassi use the X and last 4 digits of your serial number. My 98 came with 2ea 5 port norgren in steering compartment. the feed to bottom on selnoid stack in blue is for level system the tee is for supply for normal road operation. I’ll at your set up and see what is differant. What most converters did is modify the system source of signal to selonoid stack. basic is still the same. sorry did not see you already knew it was built in 99. Should be same as mine. Bob

Hello John – CA units have capillary tube metering, therefore, superheat. (expansion valve = subcooling)

Good Point Don, I would hope folks know that the bus needs to be sitting on level ground. That pretty much goes for all the fluids.

Was just out on a 7,800 mile, 9-week, 22-stop trip with my wife. Mostly work with a brief 10-day stop in Indio to rest for Christmas and NYE. Coast to coast deal, and was reminded how well everything is with the transfer case right there to shift. So, took the advice and avoided the new GC-SR. Kept our ’20 Gladiator Rubi and it towed like a champ and no real issues to speak of. Sometimes, keeping it simpler is best.
