The bus has been sitting longer than any time in the 7+ years I have owned it. We were gone on vacation with extended family two weeks and then we had to fly the next three weeks of revival. We have been in meetings near home the last two weeks and I drove the bus short distances but today we blew the cobwebs out good, 610 miles. That is about 60 miles over my self imposed limit but I am headed into triple digit temps and I wanted to get there early tomorrow while it is still coolish.
After about 220 miles I checked the voltage and it reads 28.3 at the alternator lug but 27.6 at the battery screw on the voltage regulator. Do I need to turn it down some more?

I have really enjoyed having a barn for my coach. The one thing I would urge you to do is make your door 14X14. It is a real temptation to make it 12 wide but you will find a 12′ door is actually a bit tight. My eaves are 16′ and the floor is 6″ reinforced with wire and fiberglass for a very strong floor. I installed 50A in the barn and had another on the outside wall for occasional guests to use…see picture below….works nicely. Main part of the barn is 50X20. If you don’t mind the cost, 10 more feet in both directions would be great, but it works well like it is….don’t forget that 14X14 door though! My water is at the door of the barn and a dump station is along the drive.
I have a porch area for chairs and picnic table with the rest of the lean-to used to put my tractor,etc out of the weather.
One warning….don’t forget to kill you GEN-AUTOSTART when you close it in the barn. If it happens to come on it will really mess up your new barn AND your coach!!!

We are very sorry hearing about the passing of you dad. We hope you and Craig are doing well.
I think your coach can handle the heat. I leave my coach outside and just open a few windows during the summer in central Texas. We see 98 to 105 degrees for about 120 days per year. I think our coaches are better built than we give them credit for.

Thanks for all the info and the insight.
Not being familiar with the area where Parliment is located, where should I try to take the coach to have it inspected? Should it go one place for the engine and transmission and another for the underside and another for all the converter items? Are there tests that can be done to the fluids to give insight into the internal state of the systems?

Thanks for the great advice. Detroit says it is a bad fan clutch. Ecm is fine. Replacing with new one tomorrow. Interesting that Nashville Prevost could not have figured this out. Clutch being replaced is 2-3 years old with less than 25k miles on it. Sure hope this cures my problems. Thanks again. Definitely going to learn where that relay is and have an extra handy.

And here I am, a lone voice in the wilderness wishing I had switches conveniently located for all the Crestron functions, and the Crestron replaced with a single small hand held remote control for A/V system control.
