Is it Cold? I had a few items stop working, turned out some water in the system froze and prevented air from getting to the accessories tank.

In my case, I put a space heater into the driver compartment to thaw it and then let out the water via the purge valve. All started working.

I have these things that are like a white plastic gutter. They can plug together to make it longer. I just rest it in this gutter. I also always try to make a “p trap” with the hose to keep any bugs out! I’ll get a photo when I can.

I think on a scale of 1 to 10 Tom’s site was a minus 5. Electric was a hit and miss affair and four of us were at the end of the line with Tom being furthest from the box. The good news is it did not rain because all of our front wheels were in the lowest point and if it rained we would have been swimming to get to our front doors.

I hope next year spaces get assigned based on a registration date or something that at least provides a chance to be level and with reliable electric. It wouldn’t hurt to be closer either. I think we were as far away from the show site as possible. In fact I believe we were in a different time zone.

Dan, when I talked to NOCO, who manufacturers smart chargers, they were very clear that their chargers should not be charging while the alternator is charging. I would check with the charger manufacturer before using it with the alternator charging as well.

I have exactly the same motor in the Jeep that the Sprinters have. It’s a 60 degree V-6 3 liter 4 valve 4 cam turbo diesel. Speced it and bought it new in 5/08 (64,000 miles now, plus 60,000 flat towed). Since we live in Illinois and:

    1) It is a large soybean producing state

    2) It is home to the largest soybean processor

    3) We have a state tax incentive to blend 6% to 20% biomass with petroleum diesel,

we are at greater risk of getting these higher blends. The three risks are, clogged fuel filter, injector deposits, and unburned fuel dripping past the rings into the oil pan. So far we haven’t had any symptoms even though I monitor them. Our VW hasn’t had any either.

Mercedes for a short time in 2011 stopped selling these motors in Illinois, but soon resumed after developing some language to communicate the risk. That language did not include warranty coverage.

Usually Aqua Hot has a little black knob in the wet bay and you set it to 32 degrees so under that bay heat comes on, can’t find that. So what do those controllers do?

Al, when we tested it yesterday Rudy concluded the ignitor coil wouldn’t fire when hot. He ordered a coil, be here in the morning, as it turns out it has worked perfectly all day today. Figures!

If it is true to form, the person with the system you describe will spend more time on his phone because his vehicle will be watching out for him.

I know for sure there are people who caravan with others and the lead coach sets the speed. The one following sets the cruise control a couple of miles more than that speed and lets the bus maintain the spacing.

Those people are the very morons that I have to share the road with.

Because it is an RV will the computer driving it do the driving like some of the RV drivers of today? I hope not. I do hope it can back into an RV space at a campground.

You don’t want to measure resistance with voltage in the wire. You can blow the meter if there is enough. I learned that the hard way with a water heater element. There shouldn’t be any voltage on this circuit if the ignition is off.

As long as they don’t get rid of the Flxible in the FMCA logo, I’m happy!

To my knowledge the air should be set to 2psi below the pump cut in pressure set in the manor Don described. If the pump is set to come on at 20psi i would agree with Dons number of 18. Best to check and charge accordingly.
