Come to Florida they said, it’ll be nice they said. When I left Phoenix it was 77, now sitting outside of Houston in a winter storm warning.(-: Bright side is sposed to be 78 in Fort Meyers when we arrive on Monday!

I understand Joe, checked the house this morning, it was -5. Been a nasty stretch up there. Good for the tranny business?

    Dan and Judy,

Glad you are back on the road. Hope all is well with the new ride and the temps keep rising! Pass on your thoughts about the Marathon as you get to know her. Looking forward to seeing you two again one of these days.

Houston traffic is crazy on a good day. When they get a snow or ice storm, it’s off the charts nuts. The expressway fly-overs work okay, except when they don’t. Looks like a good day or two to hunker down & stay around the bus with good friends. 😉 Tell them we said “hi”…

Dano, see you soon. We’ve been sitting in Naples since 12/31. You’ll have no regrets. Coldest nights have been 37, but not many. Mostly 70s for highs, occasionally 60s. Hope you can stay awhile, the ground shouldn’t need you till late April.

    Mike…

On the traffic in Houston when we have ice… if ever….

We just aim at the cheap cars …

Mike we came through Houston yesterday noonish, it was surprisingly easy. We’re plugged in by Rudy’s, he’s waving his magic wand at our webasto.

Gotta do a “Like” on Pres’ comment.(-:

    Dan,

I would be interested in what Rudy finds wrong with the Webasto.

I have a $1060 repair ticket from you know who, the last one fixing it.

    Thanks,

    AL

Al, when we tested it yesterday Rudy concluded the ignitor coil wouldn’t fire when hot. He ordered a coil, be here in the morning, as it turns out it has worked perfectly all day today. Figures!

Dan, throw enough money at this mind of its own Webasto sooner or later it will be fixed.

If that ‘s what it takes to fix this …go ahead.

Don’t have a copy of the last repair invoice as I’am on the road now, this may have been replaced and makes no difference.

We don’t want any problems with the, “red head”

I’ll send you or Rudy a check…your choice, call me.

Al, this is on me, thanks a bunch but that’s way beyond the call of duty. Looking forward to seeing you in a week or so.

Dan its been cold in Houston, when I walked the dogs this morning it was 17 here in the DFW area. Tonight its going down to 13 degrees which is cold for us. I went out to the bus today and fired up the Webasto, set it at 70, the 2 electric heaters that I leave in there had it a 57 but since I need to run the Webasto anyway to keep it in good working order, I thought tonight would work just fine. Are you and the redhead going over to West Palm Beach for the Prevost show, If so I will see you there.

    Dan…

In addition to the coils being a little finicky sometimes (We’ve replaced 3 of them in 5 years), whoever makes them is right proud of them!! Pricey little rascals, but ya don’t have a lot of options.

    Pres…

We have wintered in Pearland (Advanced RV Resort) twice. The morning news videos of the rare ice storms showing cars, buses, and UPS tandems sliding around on the approaches to and on the fly-overs themselves are still vivid in my memory… =:-O

Planning on doing a day trip over to the show, looks like a smidge over 2 hrs from Riverbend. It would be great to catch up to you and Gail.

We too are doing a day trip in the Jeep to West Palm for that show, leaving the bus in Naples. We’re at mile marker 111 on I75. Don’t know the best way to get to West Palm, but one route would be right by LaBelle.
