I do have a micro-switch like that one on my bay doors. The two red wires I referred to when I replaced my bay door acuator were attached to the micro-switch. I didn’t need to remove these wires or the micro-switch to replace the acuator.
The Bay Doors are from Prevost and are not a converter part.

This is not the first or only report of dissatisfaction with this company.

Nothing like having a million dollar bus and shaky mirrors.

You are right Jon,
This one will not last…if it has not already sold. Spent much of last night trying to figuire some how increase my budget. Then woke up early this morning doing the same thing. Just out of reach for me. But for someone this one is a Prevost Dream.

On my 2014 Marathon, while the Salon and Bedroom are the defaults for the inverter, there’s an AC Select button tht switches the defaults to the Galley and mid section…in my floor plan, that’s the bunk/bath area.
Harry, I won’t speak for Jon, but I’m to understand while shore power delivers 50amps, the generator delivers 70amps, making it the most powerful power source on the bus. I’m like Harry and a newbie and welcome corrections from the more seasoned members.

I have no knowledge of the specific set up on a Marathon, or for that matter the way the inverters function relative to lack or availability of incoming power but I suspect that when a coach is set up to run devices via inverters those devices are on electrical panel bus bars that are isolated from the other devices that only receive power from sources other than the inverters.
So when power is availble, such as running the generator, the inverters are functioning as pass through devices.
Tom, do the same analysis on shore power and see if you draw the same conclusions. I suspect you will see the same thing.

Dave,
Not sure what your timing finally is, but one of the things you may want to consider is planning to attend a rally or non-rally rally fairly soon after your launch to full time. PC has several coming up…Driggs, ID for the solar eclipse (Aug – I think there are still slots open) and the BusBoys get together in Evansville, IN mid Sept. Other organizations may have some coming up as well. The point is to get out & meet other folks who are & have been doing what you are just getting started with. If either of you are having reservations, the “Thank God, I’m not nuts for having done this” factor needs positive reinforcement as soon as possible, and attending one of these or an Escapees Escapade or rally is an excellent way to accomplish that. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to drop me an email (click on my name – upper right) and we’ll respond. Good luck…
Strong tailwinds & smooth landings…
