We have adaptive cruise control on our Millennium. I frequently use it. There are things I like about it and things I don’t like.
If someone pulls in front of me but is going faster then me, it knows there is not an issue. If someone merges from an entrance ramp right in front of me and going slower then me it puts on the brakes.
It is fairly uncanny in it’s ability to distinguish which lane the threat is in. I can come up on a car in the lane to the right of me while the highway is turning left. In that case the slower car appears in front of me but in the lane to my right. The bus doesn’t slow down. In addition to distance measuring technology, it must also have visual technology to figure that one out.
I often set it for a speed greater then I expect to go and then pull in behind a truck and just go with the flow.
What I don’t like, is setting it at 72 and pulling behind a truck doing 67 because that’s the speed I want to go and 30 minutes later looking down and realizing I’m doing 58. Another issue is the distance it sets between me and who I’m following. It leaves a large enough hole everybody wants to fill it.
All in all I like it a lot.

Prevost, Nashville. They do it right.

You have to love technology. Shortly after getting my fuel yesterday at Love’s Binghamton, NY, I received a receipt on my iPhone EFS Card Control App.
Thank you Rudy and PC for making this happen. This is all about efficiency of not having to walk into the truckstop, getting a HUGE discount, and having a receipt delivered to you personally by TSD.

Last week we visit R. C. Willey store in Las Vegas NV they had a brand new Asko wash in the appliance clearance area on sale for $2950 If you washer is Asko you are in luck as this one sells for about $10000+ regularly if you are in PHX you are only 300 miles away.
Call me you need the store location.

OK, I’m also in even after being harassed by Freddy. Don’t know about Catharines Landing, 2 messages left for a reservation with no call back, called the third time and after taking my reservation couldn’t do the credit card part because their system was down. Supposed to call me back, NOT. Called for 4th time to give credit card info, hope reservation was made.
I didn’t even mention Fred, so that wasn’t the problem.

We were able to book a place to stay (Sanlan Ranch Campground) between the Prevost EXPO and the Lakeland concours so we will now do both. Three weeks in Florida in February seems better than Winter on the Cumberland Plateau.
Hope to see a bunch of the PC folks at both.

That is the Big Bro Bus. It was made by the Diesel Brothers (Diesel Sellerz) guys out in Utah. They have a show on Discovery Channel and it was the subject of a recent show. They built it for someone that has a lodge type business on one of the small islands in the Great Salt Lake (if I remember correctly). The business uses it to drive to the island through the lake.
They have a pretty entertaining show if you like redneck engineering with lots of diesel power. Based on that, of course, I am in.

Fascinating stuff Andy,
First of all I had no idea Liberty is the first converter going all the way back to the 60’s with Greyhound? That was quite a story in itself and then their eventual move into the Prevost bus was really good stuff!
Something else that shocked me and not just because the conversation was about batteries. To hear that Lithium Ion batteries can run a Liberty bus with everything running, including two air conditioners for 8 hours, is amazing to me. And to find the batteries will last up to 28 years was a real shocker! Frank’s comments on batteries one day driving a coach was really something. I was also most impressed the systems in place to keep the batteries from running all the way down. Very well thought out!
Then driving a coach with an auto guidance systems, “look mom no hands”, was of equal interest. I called Frank to discuss things further but the moment I mentioned your name he hung up… I’m sure it was a connection issue!
I must compliment you though Andy, something that’s never a good idea! You did a great job of keeping the conversation moving forward. No easy thing keeping a technical conversation going forward while maintaining interest.
Thanks for posting sir. And thanks Frank (Frank Konigseder VP of Liberty) for the time you gave us. Not many can sit that long with Andy, but I did notice the ambulance standing by!

At 8,000 miles I doubt you need Much given the new Volvo technology as save your money as in the coming year’s you will have ample opportunity to spend plenty…. they do become money pits!
Great looking coach…

The starting point is to read the codes. Coaches of your vintage likely have Pro-Driver and you can go to “faults” and see what is happening.
There are three causes for a Stop Engine Light. Low oil pressure, high coolant temp, or low coolant level with the last being most common. Check the level and if it is OK suspect the sensor as the problem.
