Thanks Rocky. Bose with the noise cancellation is one that I am considering.

    Jon,

I woudn’t call it necck-snapping. It is a firm downshift, but unless you are a real tenderbutt, it is not that bad. I much prefer the safety of having max braking. As far as the drivetrain goes, remember these are million-mile buses, so I wouldn’t worry about the drivetrain. I think there is no reason to baby your coach. I’d much rather save on the service brakes and use the Jake like it was meant to.

I also put the new tank monitoring system in since my old ones were totally inaccurate. I really like the new ones and the do work with my vintage of tech link, also instead of reading every 10%, these will read every 1% which is nice.

    Well MIss Diane,

You’re missing that “camping” feeling then 🙂

You bring the S’mores, I’ll bring the wine, and we’ll sing Kumbaya together!

This also happens on my Marathon. I press the Aux and nothing happens as it continues to blink. I hit it a few more times and finally the light goes off. I think Bill is right so next time I will just watch it go off by itself and let the system go through its cycle.

    Hey Rocky,

What happened to HJ is a very sad story… The day you and I met at ETLC Jon, Tom and I went to lunch, I begged them to take me along of course! There I explained how half the people who know me call me HJ while others call me Harry. When asked which I prefer I said HJ and Tom said OK, Harry it is and changed my forum user name right there with his phone. I told you its a sad story and I’m sure you’ll hear conflicting reports from them… But who You going to believe Rocky?

As for my coach it’s still at ETLC but I have it on good authority it’s in good hands which is frankly a concern of mine because I don’t have Allstate! Look, if you guys know nothing else about me you know I’m not prone to exaggeration. With that said I can say this. My bus is still at ETLC and here’s what I believe is going on. Jeff plans to charge me so many $$ knowing I can’t possible afford it. Then sell the coach, pocket the money, move to Venezuela replacing the current despot, saving the country from a ruthless dictator while setting up a new country and starting a raid on Guatemala!

    This is what I believe,

    Harry

    Thanks Don , And Patrick.

My wife used to say , It costs more so it should be better. And sometimes that is the case. You get what You pay for kinda thing. But is their air filter 2x the quality of a Donaldson ? I dont know. I have read a lot of great reviews on the Donaldson. I want the best filter available for the ole girl, And do not mind to pay more for quality.

This is an awesome Coach, unfortunately, I am just not in a position to move on this one. But of all the ones I have seen in 3 years on PC this is the best, hope it goes to a good home. Michael

The main reason we had our bus roof coated was due to the chalky run-off that appeared whenever it rained. Our reason for choosing Bus Kote was convenience (the company that applied it came to our house) and another PC member had used the same product and company and was pleased. You can probably reasearch each different product to determine R values, thickness, etc. Linda

Rodger, CC must have changed the fixtures to low voltage between yours and mine. Mine was serial number 60105. I wonder why they would make that change?

    John B ,

That is correct. I better be more specific or Jon will raise My dues ! The RV Dash by Ray Davis that will come up wireless on Your ipad. There is a Wi-Fi module that connects to the DDEC port. He developed it specifically for a Prevost with a series 60. I know several members here have them. Should I ever have a antifreeze leak ? Being able to see the coolant level creep down might just give Me enough warning to pull over and shut down before the engine gets hot enough to do considerable damage. Your discussions about not knowing the actual coolant level prompted My post about it. Thinking that it would be very helpful if the Gentleman with the coolant leak had one of these. There is a free app that You can download which has a demo mode that You can get and play with to see the different displays and information it will provide. It also has a Code reader function which is a bonus. Along with a lot of other information that was not available through the old Prevost gauges. Like Transmission RPM , Engine Load , Intake Manifold Temp, Fuel Temp , Air inlet Temp , Ambient Temp , Air inlet Pressure. Instaneous fuel economy ( MPG ) Instantaneous Fuel Rate ( G/ H ) , Average Fuel economy ( MPG )

Trip Distance, Fuel used on trip, True mileage reading from DDEC , And total engine Hours.

This is not for a Winnie Bagle

    Safe travels,

    Rocky

    Hey Jon,

What do you mean by “because of all the power sources the generator is the best.”?

Sorry, I’m sure it’s obvious to everyone else but is lost on me? Yah Yah Yah, I hear you saying, “typical”!

Michelin is very clear on tire care and in thier tire manual they state only to use soap and water.

I will use a tire dressing if it has no silicones or petroleum distillates and then only once or at most about twice a year. That has been my practice over the years and I have never changed out old tires with cracks or any sign of aging.
