LED lighting inside of coach
we recently changed out all of our inside lighting from low voltage flourescent ceiling to LED strips and very happy with it. That said, we have low voltage bulbs surrounding the mirrors in the bathroom that I would like to replace (12 of em) but not finding suitable replacements and SuperBright LED’s and they were not able to suggest much…..looks like I might have to look at complete change of light fixtures (3) .

I replaced My vanity lights recently with some 180 Lumen G4 base bulbs. I have 3 over each sink. The difference is amazing. Does Your bulbs have the bi-pin G4 base ? Picture of Your fixtures and or bulb type would help.

Hi Rodger. Are you sure the lights around the bathroom mirror are low voltage? When I had the sister of your bus, we installed compact flourescents around the mirror and they worked great. They were 120 volt bulbs. Nowadays you can find LED bulbs in the same configuration.

Bryan….the bulbs have a 2 contact type auto base (don’t know the “type”) thats why I say they are low voltage…have to get the wife out to look at to maybe decide on just replacing those dated..(27+yr) fixtures…not a big thing, but doable. We don’t do much dry camping so it does not matter too much, but every little bit helps.Tanx

Rodger, CC must have changed the fixtures to low voltage between yours and mine. Mine was serial number 60105. I wonder why they would make that change?

I found these bulbs on eBay at about $1 a pop. They’re not pretty in an exposed application, but they work. If they fit your fixture, maybe swap them in only when dry camping?
