Sure John. There are two types, soft white or the bright white. I got some of each and ended up liking the bright white ones. Keep in mind that your old rheostat dimmer may get warmer than it should from these LED’s. You can jump past the dimmer or change to a pwm type dimmer like i did.

I just drive what’s comfortable. The smallest expense related to these beasts is what we spend on fuel. Sometimes I’m in a big hurry. Sometimes not. However, for me, drive 55-65 puts me to sleep due to complete boredom. CA drives me NUTS with their 55 MPH speed limit when towing. Luckily, we don’t have to do that too often!

I’m with Bernie on this one. I too was long haul trucking when radials came in and those zipper failures are unforgettable. As life evolved and I went through mechanical engineering school, I was fascinated by lessons about materials and how they fail. Sidewall flex is a killer on tires sooner or later. I run 125 all around in my 315s and my aging tender rear end can’t tell much difference in the well suspended Prevost. And I sleep better. Mike

For sure I want to replace the wet batteries. I am thinking lithium Ion, but probably should get the system looked at to see what else is requirred to bring the coach up to date.

Yes Jon the rotating switch that you use to level the coach. It get so right that it will not turn. After the coach sits it will loosen up.

Transmission control on these coach are they all electronic oor are they electronically controlled air operated? …
like the old stone Bennett shifters?

I got it to work. It was the fuse after all I wasn’t looking up far enough to find it to begin with.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have ZERO intention of going to MN in the winter ever again. I will likely hit either Las Vegas and /or Scottsdale late summer or early fall, and that will still be too hot….
Now that I saw the light and moved to TN, I can actually use my bus all year without turning the bottom to rust!

Hey guys –
1. It is my understanding that the capacitor is needed only for replacements different than mine/ours. The second page of the Prevost instructions are for replacement of a 4-wire regulator with a 5-wire (the new one). Mine/ours is a 3-wire to 5-wire, so I went with page 1 after speaking with Prevost. I did not add a capacitor.
2. I did lower the setting on the new voltage regulator to have 27.7v output. The ‘stock’ setting per the manufacturer of the new regulator is 28.3v, and that is what the system showed immediately after installing straight out of the box. Using a digital voltmeter, I adjusted the voltage regulator down to 27.7 and all of the other numbers fell in line with Prevost specs (as Mr. Wehrenberg notes).

The manual doesn’t really explain but it looks like the blank could be Battery2. So does this monitor your House alternator (the Bosch)?
The light we have on(below 1000RPM) is a red blank directly above the Battery Symbol – it is not the BAL or Hi/Low nor is it the Battery Symbol
