and that how I knew the age of such things. First stop after purchase was a shop to begin the zero process. This next service will be all the brake cans, R12/14s, etc.
You dont sound like sour grapes, and I am sometimes surprised at some of the newbie questions which come up. I am the third owner, I was very surprised to find the age of some of the items. But the mileage to age showed a coach which didnt travel much.
Well the last run began in april of 16 and I put her in storage in Nov.17. We traveled 16k miles, Detroit Diesel service for engine and trans each year. I think this years big service will have the coach totally zeroed and improved!

The reason I found that small leak is that I was logging My tire pressures daily for a few weeks in a row along with tempature readings. Pressures fluctuate more than I thought they would due to temp changes. Any good tool or instrument is only as good as the human using it and their working knowledge of its parameters. Play with it , use it , understand it.

It looks like your shutdown circuit is acting up. When you release the starter, the oil pressure and temp shutdown sensors become active. I’d check the wiring to these sensors. You can also bridge the oil pressure switch with a temporary wire and see if that will keep the generator running.

I’m not convinced the problem is solved.
Even if the batteries were not getting properly charged my concern would be to find out why they discharged. Coach lights are 12V so if that is what Charles thinks was the load the equalizer would have had the 12V side drawing power and the 24V side would have been pulled down as the equalizer maintained the correct relationship between the two voltages.

Inside the coil is ammonia and another substance. One way to tell if you have a bad cooÅ‚ing unit is(1)the smell of the ammonia. You probably didn’t smell that because the leak happened outside.The other way to tell is if you see a yellow substance at the burner.The burner is just above where the yellow substance is in your picture.

thanks, i was looking at those. I like to have a portable compressor on board for all my tires not just the bus. I leave the aux compressor alone as i don’t like the cycling i have to wait on. I know its there but i like a portable.
as for my tire pressures. Yes, I weighed my axles and checked the weights of the axles on the prevost tire calculator. FYSA – I’m full time and have all my $h-“ on board. My bus is heavy.
The calculator came up with the numbers and i bumped them up by 5 psi. As long as i stay under max tire pressure on the tire and above min pressure by the calculator, i am in my comfort zone. If you think i run to high a psi, fine. You have your standards for your bus and i have mine. I never run near the minimum as i want a buffer. If my ride is a little harder, so be it. It is my call.

Liam,the yellow that you see is a sign the cooÅ‚ing coil is bad. like you said it is best to either try too get yours rebuilt or get à new refer.

I did a Google search of the address on the web site and it shows a Key Bank at that address.
My next step would be to call the bank manager and ask what he knows about Key Motor Sales claiming that address. Maybe the bank is into repos and they are dumping it.
