Yep..Prevost recommends replacing both at the same time. I was told this when I had my 2016 Liberty. Seems when one is done, so is the other.

Like Bill said, ours hits E when we’ve burned 160 gals. I rely on the Detroit Pro Driver that I know is accurate. But, it doesn’t add the genny fuel usage. I add 1 gal/hr for gen run time.
Our biggest fillup so far has been 210 gals, and the gen would still run.

Once I get my coach back home, I am going to do some investigation into what, mini-split-wise, can be fit behind the front bumper (H3). It would be nice if a 2-3 ton condenser could fit in there without tearing the condenser unit apart, but I think I am mentally ready to do that, too, if needed. I am quite curious what is above the “box” that the cruisar condensers go in, as more height is essential to leave the mini-split condenser alone.
The big appeal to me for the mini-splits is the vast number of options, plus really good efficiency, plus hopefully good longevity. IMO, an inverter based system is going to be a lot less difficult to start, electrically, and probably going to last a lot longer than an “on/off” system.
There are hurdles other than the space for the condenser, however. Almost all of these mini-splits are 240v, and almost all of our coaches’ inverters are not 🙁 So, this may snowball into an inverter upgrade as well. Victron Quattro seems like the way to go, but I suppose adding (not replacing) a split-phase inverter, just for the mini-split (like 6kw, ~$1300) could be an option. Another option, at least before committing to all new inverter system like Victron, is only running the 240v mini-split on shore power or generator (our generators produce 240v split phase and not 2x120v same phase, right???).

There are multiple options for attending the Ballon Fiesta. My choice is the Presidential Campground but it’s about $250/night. W/E and sewer service available.
Most of the other options are dry camping but water and sewer trucks are available everyday for a price. I don’t think you need a tour group as you close enough to all the action that you can walk to the balloon field or watch then fly over your head from your RV. The events take place from dawn to early afternoon and are then over for the day. There are some nights with balloon glows as well as weekend nights with fireworks. I suppose if a tour group has some facillities to get you to and from your RV and provided special access to those kind of events that might be worthwhile. Some folks just stay at local campgrounds (book NOW if you still can) and commute to the grounds. Plan on an extended commute in as the traffic is TERRIBLE and I believe the parking is fairly expensive.
We plan to go in 2023 as there will also be a “nearly” total eclipse of the Sun during the event.

Very cool belts. I might have to look into those.

I need to change it, it is pretty dumb if you ask me.

Thank you, Mike

Just finishing up my front nose upgrade project. Changed to 2 windshields, lower front cap, and bumper. If I wasn’t insane before I started, I am now. Need some help finishing off the headlights. I would appreciate is someone with these headlights could flip one down and take a picture so I can see how and where the seal is to be mounted. Did not get much help on this from Prevost.
ThanksAlex

Thanks Dan, thanks Tom.

Hello,
Please read your manuals regarding any generator…they will state the importance of never starting a generator with a load on it.
My 1998 Featherlight Powertech 17.5 K only had 5500 hours on it and I had to replace the head when I purchased. I did try sending it in for rebuild, but they would not guarantee the issues would be fixed.
It just takes once starting with a full load to cause damage.
Thanks

Tom,
It seems counterintuitive but subjecting a fan motor to an area of less pressure reduces the load on the motor.
We have countless examples but there are two easy ones that prove the situation. First as mentioned above and as confirmed by Coloradobus is to block air flow and the motor will speed up since it is doing less work. block the hose your vacuum and you hear it speed up.
But our coaches from the olden days used that principle to save fuel. When a radiator has shutters such as coaches of 30 or more years ago, when the shutters closed the engine driven fan was doing less work, and thus reduced the load on the engine and saved fuel. Shutters also decreased warm up time and acted to an extent like thermostats, but their true purpose was to save fuel.

I got my last ones from Prevost for both the 99 and the 07.
They were not expensive.
Replacing the one on the drivers side might be a task to get to.
Good luck

If you suspect the sensors are an issue use a good quality leak detector around the valve stem at the sensor or at the wheel.
30 PSI in a few months is not going to blow big bubbles rapidly but you will see some evidence.
