  • 2001 Marathon Techlink issue

Posted by Alex on June 3, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Hi, has anyone come across their techlink not switching screens when pressing the screen button on the dash panel under the display. Just finished a lot of work on the bus. I had the dash out as well as the overhead. At first the battery display came up when I reconnected the display. Pressed the button to toggle thru the screens and it just stayed on the battery screen. I reset the techlink computer, it rebooted fine, went thru it’s boot up process and then the Marathon screen comes on. It will not toggle thru the other screens. Everything else in the bus seems to be working (lights, ACs,etc. I called Marathon, but they did not have any suggestions (after doing a power reset) other than bring it to them to plug in, which is not possible right now.
    Any thoughts?

    thanks

You need to see if you have the tech link video feed going to the TV (my 01 Marathon had the tech link on the TV’s) to see if you are switching screens even though the dash display is not working. I don’t remember all the components in the system, but I could pick up techlink video output in several places on my H in the rear electrical cabinets. You may just have a loose video connection since you had it apart.

Thanks. I found the problem. I guess it works better with the network connector plugged in instead of sitting next to it. ??

Glad that worked out. Wish I could say I have never done such a thing. Keep Brian’s number handy. He designed all the techlink systems for our vintage coaches for Marathon and is incredibly patient and helpful. His knowledge and ability to help are amazing. Mike
