Welcome to the Old farts Club. But, you forgot to mention that just as soon as you get semi comfortable standing on your head and get the item you are working on barely in view and in focus with your bifocals or trifocals, you will discover you need to go to the potty really bad.

As long as we are offering free advice, which is worth every penny you pay for it, please be realistic about what it costs to own a coach. Every Prevost, regardless of age or value is likely to cost the same to maintain. They all use fuel. They all require oil changes, lube, filter changes, coolant changes, transmission fluid changes, belt changes, new tires to replace those aging out, batteries, plus some money to deal with repairs and the impact of age such as air bags, brake chambers, etc. Don’t forget insurance either.
Having said that if you start with a coach that has everything somewhere in the middle of its maintenance schedule and documentation to prove it, your costs for maintenance per year are still likely to be reasonable, especially if depreciation is considered. Until a coach gets to the older vintage George mentioned your greatest expense by far is depreciation.
If you embrace the lifestyle of Prevost conversion ownership however you will never regret a penny of what it costs to own one. There is just so much good about Prevost ownership it is impossible to put a value on it, especially the friendships that come about as a result of owning one.

Update to my earlier post. Went to Marathon Texas, had the solenoid replaced thought it would be easy fix, they had never seen the problem. about 8 hr later they finally “fixed”it. It opens with the inside button every time. Problem is now it won’t lock with the code, so having to use the key. Lots of time and effort, change in symptoms but still not fixed. Do think it is a solenoid problem however.

I want to emphasize Tom’s comment. I have several places to monitor values on my coach. Those values include house and chassis battery voltages. They do not agree with one another so I have had to determine which information is more correct and use the other less accurate readings as reference only.
That mis-information is not limited to electrical values. It also relates to temperatures and pressures so rather than get wrapped up in trying to determine precise values and correction factors I just determine what “normal” is and then I only get concerned if I see variations from those “normal” values.

I don’t full time but if I did there is nothing I can think of that would be different than what we carry now. The exception would be how we use the space we have. We carry clothes specific to where we are going and the weather we anticipate. Full timers need a wider range of clothing options.
I have Verizon on a flip phone and never was without a signal. A dash cam is important and I now know to verify it works often. Load your laptop or phone with important links or phone numbers. Don’t carry manuals or books but store them on thumb drives or their links. Same with books for reading. Use a Kindle to carry a lot of books, not the real books.
You need a good quality, large screen GPS. Like dash cams there are many good ones so select what fits your needs. Anything you will need you will learn as you get into your adventure and with Amazon and Walmart when you know you need something buy it. I would not load up on stuff until I verified the need. Same goes for the food you carry and the stuff you carry in the bays. Less is better.

Kudos to Jon. We were told there would be a towing demonstration at this seminar and then it was canceled. Admin of Prevost Community, once again, went out of their way to provide for the members and Jon made sure there was an actual towing demo at the end of the seminar. Way to go Jon!
Just glad no injuries and little physical damage.

For what it is worth I think the Guest charger was its predecessor and my Guest charger is ceiling mounted. But having said that I looked a little at the charger and while I have no clue what I am talking about I would abide by their instruction because they likely have a reason.
All is not lost for you however. Your air cleaner housing would be a good place to mount it. Since the air cleaner housing is curved you need some standoffs to compensate for the curvature but that could be some short lengths of small diameter tubing or anything behind the holes to fill the gap. Just make sure the fasteners do not interfere with the inside of the housing to impact the filter.
The specs say it is protected against vibration and that might be why it has a specific orientation.

I would think if you carried ammo into Canada, they would strip your bus looking for the firing mechanism (gun). I do not know of, and have not heard of anyone leaving ammo with a FFL dealer.

Just a couple of points to consider, based on my 35 or so years in law enforcement, most of which was Warden at a maximum security penitentiary. First and maybe most important is the realization that we may be seen as a good target because we are traveling in a Prevost, which means the bad guys think we are rich and we probably travel with a fair amount of cash. Many of us are no longer spring chickens, unable to defend ourselves using physical force. Next point, we are relatively safe as long ares we remain in our coaches. We are most vulnerable anytime we exit and enter our coaches, particularly at rest areas, fuel stations and Walmart parking lots. I almost always feel safe at campgrounds where the crime rate is next to nothing, except for an occasional theft or domestic violence incident. Whether or not you choose to arm, you still need to develop what we call in law enforcement “situational awarness”. This means to constantly look for and be aware of potential threats and act accordingly.
Be warned, you may not be safe at rest areas and parking lots, even in broad daylight. Case in point, several years ago I stopped at a rest area near Memphis and noticed several MS 13 gang members hanging around the common area, looking for an easy target. How do I know? I can spot one a mile away from my experience in prison. They are really bad dudes even in prison.
What can you do? First develop a sense of situational awarness. Stay in your coach if you feel uneasy. Carry a firearm if you choose, but only if you are willing to train to maintain proficiency. Consider purchasing police grade pepper spray.
I carry a firearm at all times. I do this for my protection and I will protect you as well if I am near by and your life is in danger. There are many other good guys that would do the same.
