This was our first rally no rally and it was a great time meeting other owners. Best group of people you could hope for at an event. Dark times were had by all!

I have lived in so. Fl since 1951 and this the worst winter I have ever been in. More bad days than good days. Neither Chicago nor snow will ever see me again!!

I had a clutch fail on a trip once so I had to lock the fan so I could complete the trip. I don’t remember seeing temps as low as 180, but I do remember it cycled what appeared on a poorly marked gauge around 185 to 195 and when I checked after the fact that seemed to be the thermostat range.
A locked clutch is going to bring in so much air you will need to have the thermostat close just to keep the engine warm. With even the low speed locked unless you are ascending some long steep hills the engine will still run cool.

Unfortunately, I have to answer my phone calls for my Battery/Pressure Pro business and have both Norobo, True Caller and the Verizon piece of crap that’s suppose to screen out non identity calls and none of it works much. They always find a new way, now with phony names and phone numbers that you would swear is a real call.
I hope they end up in phone hell.

The fairgrounds they said they booked is about 5 miles away from convention center, when I was looking into it back in October. Didn’t look too appealing to me.

Both Geo and Corey are EXTREMELY BUSY in Milwaukee. Plus its been unseasonably cold, even for this time of year. I understand its warmed up to double digits, so I’m sure you’ll be hearing from them soon.
We at Everglades Isles RV Resort in Everglades City. Apparently this is the stone crab capital of the world. Local told us they have the best stone crabs here. We hope to find out tomorrow night.
BTW … this place is really, really nice.

I know this is thread drift, but technology is becoming intrusive. I wanted to buy a new Grand Cherokee but the model we liked had a lane change alert, an adaptive cruise control that would apply the brakes if we tailgated…
When a distracted driver is in your rear view mirror and skids to a stop just short of your car, be glad that vehicle was equipped with a collision mitigation system.
It works for us as well. Let’s face it, as folks get older, reactions slow..it’s a fact of life. While we may not be looking at a phone, should a car in front slam their brakes, there’s comfort in knowing the vehicle may have quicker reactions than a human and reduce the chance of an injury.

I think overall, it’s a loosing battle. For example. Google “Prevost Beaver XL for sale” and a number of busses are still listed. I know they all have sold. One dealer still shows Bus 4 in Tucson for sale. It still lives in AZ, but…..Bus 13 was listed in Oregon, ended up in WA, owners used to be on this forum. And on and on. The web is cluttered. Best thing to do is notify truk or Jon. I did that recently about Marathon 1067.

Can one assume your current phone, either iPhone or Android, would work with 5G?
Also, how much LTE data do you get for your personal hot spot? Right now, my “unlimited” plan comes with 15G of hotspot per line, and we use every bit of that.
Current model phones are not compatible with 5G. They will still work, but they don’t incorporate the components to work with the next generation of networks. It’s speculated the next generation of iPhones will incorporate the 5G chipset…but that’s just speculation. I’ll predict that CES in January will have quite a bit of news about 5G…but it’s not happening overnight.
The FMCA “unlimited” plan is setup to deliver 24GB per month before throttling. It’s my understanding that unlike some other plans that could give you more 4G bandwidth based on network traffic, the Verizon/FMCA plan will throttle at the threshold.
Comparing the FMCA plan to the existing Verizon 24GB plan, the FMCA deal is $50 per month vs. the Verizon plan priced at $110 per month. And, the hotspot is $01. The standard Verizon plan allows for one month of rollover data…meaning that if you only use it on your bus and you don’t travel for a month, you could have 48GB to use on the next trip.
As we’ve learned, data is consumed very quickly. I like that the hotspot offered in the plan displays the amount of used data on the LCD.
