I’m curious,
Never seeing the inside of a Prevost Bus with the slides in (or out for that matter). As I said in an earlier post, my only knowledge of seeing slides in, is on a plastic coach with apposing slides. The coach I had on order had a full wall slide on the patio side containing the dinette, couch, bunk beds and master bedroom dresser. The opposing slide had the kitchen, including the refrig. I wasn’t wild about the refrig on the slide but that’s the way it was. It was a bath and a half and at the widest point just under 18″. Getting to the full bath required climbing over the king bed or a pole vaulting stick.
Is the isle amount about the same in your Prevost, about 18 inches?

After replacing the fuse, the 24v post on the equilizer measure at 25.6, while the 12v measured at 13.66. Basically where I would expect it to measure. Charger still needs to charge two batteries, then I will check everything before starting it. Batteries where swapped out in June 2014 per my label put on the batteries. So hopefully they should take a charge as they are not that old and where not 100% drained.

Dan,
Congrats to you and Judy on the new ride. Good purchase as all the air leaks should be fixed, all new NAPA belts and filters should be in place. We will see you in Florida and that coach knows its way down, so just set the cruise control and go back and make yourself a sandwich.

I see no reason to turn off the switch you mentioned in the original post, I have never turned mine off in all the years I’ve owned my coach.

I don’t think the downshifting has anything to do with the jake. The Tranny is an automatic and will downshift to lower gears if the speed and RPM’s are right. As Jon say you can’t make it downshift if the RPM’s are too high. As Jim said find the top speed and RPM for each gear so when the numbers match you can safely drop a gear and feel the jake working. Harry I have a Beaver also and the Jake is not impressive to me either. If you have DD dealer close you might take it to them and see if Beaver made any changes to the programing. If you are really going down hill at 95 throwing out the Anchor(jake) will be like using a piece of yarn for rope.

Do you have the model number of the Coleman that replaces the original unit.

Well Dick, we’ve tried getting ahold of some folks we saw a year or so ago in Colorado. They have a late 70’s early 80’s Suburban, bungee chords holding down the hood, and what I would call tri or maybe quad color scheme (mostly rust). One of those jewels that you pull into a full service station and tell them to fill the oil and check the gas. Now the camper trailer was probably 24ft dual axle and as I recall it had all four tires on it. I believe it had a matching color bungee holding the door closed, same as the one on the Suburban. Not sure if it had all the windows or not.
If we can”t pull this deal off, I have put a contingency plan in motion. Hopefully be able to share details by the end of the week

Hi Tim, and thanks for the clarification. As it happens I do know harvest, as a boy growing up in Illinois our small town was ringed with farms. I worked on most of them from planting to harvest from the age of 10. There wasn’t a piece of equipment I couldn’t operate, horse I couldn’t ride or cow I couldn’t milk. And yes, it’s some kind of hard work! I was not too wild about it at the time but look back on it in great fondness! Especilly throwing hay bails up on a trailer sitting 4 feet off the ground! Did I just say fondness?I was reading not long ago about motorhome folks going to Colorado, Wyoming and Montana to work with the beat harvest etc. A paid endever as I remember the article.
You enjoy yourself Tim, I’m sure your wife and family enjoy your help and company!

Ben;
I may be interested in the dc roof airs and possibly some solar panels or solar film on the roof.

Chris is making us aware of a very important point that is hard to remember.
When questions are asked we who try to respond have a difficult time providing accurate answers and suggestions just because the internet is not the same as being at the coach, but also because we are not always thinking of variations in our coaches that make some advice invalid.
With the number of multiplex coaches increasing we also have to try to keep that in mind when responding. Even professionals like the folks at Prevost and the converters have trouble keeping track of these important variations.

The lights that came out were LED right? When I was resealing a couple things up top, I had replaced a couple around the top of my coach because they were cracked around the screw holes. The new ones were LED just like the old ones.

Dan & Judy…
We have been VERY lucky… lots and lots of rain.. pool overflowed twice which is a lot of water… a couple of low lying roads were closed but nothing to be afraid of… just 40 miles from here is lots of flooding… major highways closed etc. Airports closed etc.
Ours hearts are with the suffering… such a mess with months and months just to clean up let alone rebuild… even our boats in Galveston are fine… the water never went over the finger piers so we consider ourselves very very blessed…. and we are praying for all of Houston and surrounding areas.
Thanks for asking,
Cheers, Diane

Ben,
Thanks for the schematics. I am taking them to the print shop and having them printed on 11×17 so my old eyes can read them. I already see a few that will help me find the relays for interior Gen start/stop that just began acting up. Gen starts and stops fine from the generator control box but stopped operating from the control panels inside.
Thanks again,
Doug

It would be a major undertaking to change to a Microphor electric. The electric is direct drop, you can actually see into the holding tank when flushed. The air Microphor is rear discharge, same as the Tecma.
