After 114 posts I suggest we let this die. There are many on this site with Montana LLC’s and many without, so personal choice seems to be the rule of the day.

Jon, the staute talks about carrying “property” not “goods” and it looks to the primary use for which the vehicle is “maintained”, so I think the vehicles you described are probably within the defintion of commercial vehicles for purposes of registration. I don’t doubt that vehicles outside the clear statutory definition are registered as commerical, especially since the DMV gets to interpret the statute and make regulations based thereon. For example, the statute implies that all pick up trucks are commerical vehicles, but the Cal DMV has applied that section only to pickups with payload capacity of one ton or more. Many smaller pickups are registered as non-commerical unless they are used for a business purpose and the owner chooses commercial registration. The definition of commerical vehicles may also be state specific. Additionally, the statute I cited is only for the purpose of which vehicles are registered as commercial, not which vehicles may only be driven by someone with a commerical license. That is a totally different issue and there is a different statute for that.
In any event, the question I answered was not about any of that. The question was whether all vehicles owned by a business entity such as a LLC, and particularly a converted bus, must be registered as a commerical vehicle. I think the answer is “no.”

We’re going to be there the first week in Feb. Tom said while we are making sales calls you were going to wash and detail his coach. Can you do mine also?

Talked to the helpful techs at Prevost who explained how the system works. Looks like it may be a bad temp sensor, I guess they need to test it againt a conversion chart.
So at FUL it will put out heat non stop no matter what cabin temp is. So that is what I have now, no blending at all.
Looks like a trip to Prevost is in my future, probably can’t sort this one on my own.

Just a couple of comments: In another topic in this forum, I asked for comments about a drive shaft disconnect which I’m considering installing on my 2012 Ford F150 2wd. I own a BlueOx sportloader which is what prompts me to consider pulling my truck so I can take my GoldWing. Last year we used the truck and sportloader on a trip to Michigan. Great rip and the loader performed very well.
About 10 years ago I owned BlueOx lift (now called the Sport Lift) that mounts on the stern of the MH.Quite honestly I was planning to use one on my current coach, but, after reading up on it, I got spooked about welding on the motor cradle.
It would be terrific to take my scooter!

We’d probably be canning the last of the tomatoes from our garden around that time.
Right now, just before the OKC rally we have just finished stripping the garden and when we come back I have to turn it under and start thinking about the 2015 garden.

And by “suitable amounts of sympathy”, Jon means NONE!!

There’s that machinery thing again. If you expect your coach to treat you well, you have to be kind to it and that includes a gentle hand wash followed by drying with a soft towel.
I believe that is listed in the Prevost Owner’s Manual, section 11, page 345.

Fred, Those things are just another bump in the road, not to be worried about, life can deal you a lot worse things than your bus breaking down, bite the bullit and enjoy your beautiful bus and the pleasure it brings! gary
