Sorry. But we will be leaving St. Pete on Monday afternoon and travel up the coast to go to the meet st the Heritage. We intend to stay at the Rock Crusher Canyon zrV Park for 3 nights, then on to Camp Gulf for another 3 nights, then on to the new St. Rosa RV Resort for 4 nights and then on the 15th arriving at the Heritage.

A bus is sure no match for Mother Nature. Makes you think… How many times have you rode out a storm in the bus when the campground had a shelter and thought, no problem, this thing is heavy.

No flaming here. Just different strokes for different folks. I’m a bicycle guy. I don’t ride except when I travel in the bus and then just around the campground. At different rallies I found if I was giving seminars or otherwise doing something that required me to go from point A to B to C and back to A I could either walk which took time, or hop on the bike and get the job done quicker. I don’t have room for a cart (probably wouldn’t carry one anyway) but I can see how a cart makes it easy for folks to get around. Should we walk and get more exercise? In my case yes.

Norgren has distributors in almost all large cities so if you have the Norgren part numbers the distributor in your local area can likely help you. Norgren is excellent for parts so if there are replacement parts or kits you can likely buy them through the distributor.

You really got my attention when you talked about fixing air leaks you can hear. Most of us wish it was that easy. As you get into your leak repair project it is probable that on a coach that has not had regular leak maintenance work that you will have many hours dedicated to finding and then fixing leaks. As the leaks become less obvious the amount of time and patience required to find them increases.

The reward for having a leak free coach is significant. You will hardly ever have to run the auxiliary compressor, your bus will not drop unexpectedly when the aux system drops below 30 to 35 PSI and you will learn a lot about your coach.

Hard to beat a Jeep Robert. I’ve towed a Cherokee, Wrangler and presently have a Liberty, but leaving the Liberty at home now and towing the Avalanche. We wanted more room and the versatility of an SUV/Pick-up.

It is hard to beat a Jeep. I used to tow a 2008 Wrangler, and now a 2012. The new Pentastar engine in the ’12 is worlds better than the ’08. Gas mileage is better, but I cannot quote you a number.

Tom and I are pretty much locked in to the software we now have unless we uncover a serious glitch. That is not to say we are not making changes to improve what we have.

We and our web guru have gotten through the shakedown period where this entire site has been subjected to the real world test by users such as you. We now are accumulating suggestions such as yours along with similar ones from advertisers, folks who submit articles and folks who list coaches for sale and after we have sorted out more changes or improvements we will get Joe the guru to go ahead and make the improvements.

We have stopped making all but the necessary changes because we now know a couple of things more than when Tom and I dove into this project. The amount of detail to consider is enormous and despite our lack of skills, with the help of Joe the guru we got pretty close. But not perfect. We found in a lot of cases what seemed like a good choice had unintended consequences and we had to go back in an revise our thinking. We know making one change is not always easy because that change may impact other things more important. So the bottom line is we need to accumulate ideas and look at them as a whole.

Keep the suggestions coming. I also want some things to be a little easier.

Our bus has become a life style. We have had it for about 7 years now and we continue to find new ways to enjoy it.

At first, it was just weekend trips with FMCA chapters for rallies. Then we sold our house in Maryland and lived in the bus for a year before we moved to Florida. Now we use it as a mobile office, we work from home or the bus, where ever we have internet and cell phone connections. We did manage to travel 10,000 miles and stay on the road for 7 months in 2010. We worked, traveled and did a lot of sight seeing during that time. I hope to do that agin ion the next few years.

The best thing that the bus has done for us, is to meet and make friends with so many POG members. The POG rallies have been great and the people we have meet have been even better then great.

I hope that this group grows and becomes just as much fun as POG has been. Looks like we are getting a more diverse group here, so things are looking promising.

I also treat the bus as my hobby. Wash, wax, modify and normal maintenance are fun for me. It gives me something to do that takes me away from the stress of work.

So does anyone cary a spare? I always did in the Eagle and planned on it with the Prevost. I figure if I have one I will never need it!!!!!

Because I show my vehicle, there are sometimes days when I am on the auxilliary compressor. Any suggestions about which units to consider? Manufacturer? Size?

Compressor has a 5 gallon double tank, which is connected to the feed to my vehicle wet tank.
