It is hard to beat a Jeep. I used to tow a 2008 Wrangler, and now a 2012. The new Pentastar engine in the ’12 is worlds better than the ’08. Gas mileage is better, but I cannot quote you a number.

Hard to beat a Jeep Robert. I’ve towed a Cherokee, Wrangler and presently have a Liberty, but leaving the Liberty at home now and towing the Avalanche. We wanted more room and the versatility of an SUV/Pick-up.

We’ve towed a 2010 Ford Edge AWD for two years and it works perfectly. Tows four down in neutral with no issues. Weighs about 4200 lbs. A nice vehicle as a driver and a towed car.

We tow a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon but tow the 2002 Chevy Silverado 4X4 if we want to take the golf cart.

I know they take a lot of criticism and abuse, but we tow a custom 2005 PT Cruiser on a Blue Ox baseplate with Wireless Tow Lights and could not be happier with the size, weight, versitility and ease of hook up/towing. Ours has a 5 speed manual transmission. We just hook up the Blue Ox, put the tranny in neutral, turn the ignition key to the first stop (to release the steering wheel), put the Wireless Tow Lights on the rear roof via the super strong magnets, turn them on and away we go!

Flat tow 2010 Ford Edge front wheel drive here, Bob. I bought a new Demco 2 tow dolley last summer and decided against it when the car barely fit on the dolley. RV place said it would fit. Made for a narrower car. My luck. Waited too long to return. You wanna buy a cheap new dolley just hollar.
