I used Almost Chrome last time I was at Prevost TN and was VERY happy with the wash and wheel polish I got from them. I would highly recommend them if you are in the area. They are over at Prevost all the time. I will use them next time I am there! Maybe a wax this time too….didn’t have enough time to get that done the last time in…

Tom H…..as you will figure out we all love encouraging other Prevost owners to spend money. Certainly chasing leaks is a fine way to get to spend a lot of money.

The use of your ears and soapy water is about as cheap as it gets for leak detection. I don’t know if an electronic stethoscope is so much better than a $5 one from Sears but consider how much use you will get out of one. To take leak detection to the next level you need an untrasonic leak detector which will find leaks ears, soapy water and a stethoscope will not find but you will spend over $400 for one. The ultimate, but probably with a cost of less than $100 is to build one of Hector’s bubblers.

If you build a bubbler however plan on spending hours, days and weeks opening up fittings connecting the bubbler and checking it for leaks, and if any are found, moving it downstream until you have isolated and repaired the leak. Sounds easy and it is, but it takes a lot of time and effort.

Or you can take out a mortgage and ask a technician to find and repair all your air leaks. In about a month you get your coach back and maybe there will be no leaks.

In the past most bus rallys are usually held at ABC since it is easier to get in and out of. Out in the country some, so those without a toad will need to get a taxi or ride with someone else. ABC is quieter and no traffic noise. Newell holds their Branson rally at ABC. KOA is not bad but would be my second choice. I live about 20 miles north of Branson and will be going down to Branson in the next few weeks to check on our lake house, so can report of the condition of both campgrounds, if you like.

Temps in April will likey be upper 60’s- upper 40’s and wet. May will likey be about 10 degrees warmer and dryer than April. August will upper 90’s-lower 100’s-upper 70’s-lower 80’s. September will slightly cooler under after September 25 when it starts to cool quite abit. August and Sept will likey be dry.

Since I live close, I would be willing to help organize/whatever you need for the rally for you if you like. By 2013, my home conversion should be finished after 8 years and be ready for a shakedown run!!! Branson would be a good run fo it.

Branson sounds good, but with kids still in school finding the time is the hard part.

I am being totally selfish in saying that I would probably be able to come the week of August 27-30 because, if the kids get admitted to the new school we applied to, they are shutting down for the week because of the Republican National Convention in Tampa. This means a very unusual free week for me!

Here’s your photos. The picture from the rear is taken with the bus raised and me kneeling to bumper level. As you can see, only the very bottom of the muffler is visible and none of the tailpipe, although, without my 1″ piece of angle iron (for the Liberty rear flap) it may be slightly more visible. From normal eye level, nothing is visible. Note this installation has the long tailpipe; 2 or more versions are available. The side baffle could actually be constructed easily. It consists of a piece of rubber (similar to mud flap) secured to frame with a flat ss trim piece. The trim piece is secured only to the rubber allowing the assembly to flex.

By the way, I am doing the conversion myself, and this is number 9. But this one has taken everything I have ever learned, in every trade I have apprentised, and still I am finding things I am not sure about, so I ask – a very unmanly thing to do?

I too have an old espar that is not working. It is in a 1981 Liberty conversion. The fuel lines have been removed and plugged and the exhaust port through the bottom of the engine has been covered (can be seen in picture). The condition may be terminal as someone before me went through great leaks to plug the fuel lines and block the exhaust. I would like to look at it someday – or have someone look at it – to see if it can be resurrected.

I will go to the barn and see what size wires are on my Royale
after the Titans game. My initial reaction would be the wiring to the meters is
oversized based on a maximum current flow of 5 amps so no problem there. The
wires carrying the current through the donut hole to the distribution panel are
way undersized. Normally I would expect a 14 gauge wire to be rated at 15 amps.
The thought of pushing 50 amps through a 14 gauge wire should melt the
insulation.

Thanks for creating this website. We look forward to being active members of this Prevost Community, getting a lot from it, and hopefully giving something back in return. We bought our coach ~ 2 years ago and are putting it in shape for extended use starting next fall.
